Finding cool action figures for video games can sometimes be hard, but sinceWarhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2is based on a miniatures game, players can get just about anything from the game in model form. Pretty much every enemy, vehicle, and ally troop has aphysical40Kequivalent. While some of the main characters like Titus don’t have dedicated models, some models would get players close enough if they wanted to recreate their favorite characters on the tabletop.
It’s hard to overstate how many models are on display in the game, from the transports players take to and from missions, to even just the tiny capsules that replenishtheir weapons and ammo. That said,Warhammer 40Kmodels can get pretty pricey and players will likely want to prioritizesome of the cooler models from the game if they want to start building things fromSpace Marine 2. These models are typically available through Games Workshop’s website, but they can also be found in local gaming stores.

10The Leman Russ Tank Is The Backbone Of Imperial Guard Armies
A Leman Russ Battle Tank Costs $62.50 From Games Workshop
Early on inSpace Marine 2, the player is tasked with driving Tyranid forces away from large defense turrets that are aiding with a planet’s evacuation. Inside a bunker, Titus and his squad find a hidden force of Imperial Guard troopers and their trusty Leman Russ tank. The troopers and the tank go on to aid the player in destroying the outer defenses of a base overrun with Tyranids, showing off the destructive power of the Leman Russ.
Players who are interested in the tank’s unique design, or in awe of its massive firepower, will be happy to know that it is equally effective on the tabletop. Imperial Guard armies can struggle to deal damage with infantry alone, often relying on Leman Russ tanks and artillery to deal heavy damage.Leman Russ models also come with a Cadian soldiersticking out of the top, which are the same type of soldiers that were inSpace Marine 2.

9The Deathwatch Kill Team Has Cooler Armor Than Ultramarines
Kill Team Cassius Costs $70.00 From Games Workshop
Space Marine 2starts withTitus serving with the Deathwatchas part of an elite kill team. Unlike typicalSpace Marine chapters, the Deathwatch is made up of marines from all different chapters. Players see this inSpace Marine 2in the character Ulfar who was a member of the Space Wolves before Deathwatch, and Titus himself who was formerly an Ultramarine. Players looking to assemble their own elite Deathwatch kill team are in luck, because Warhammer has a model set just for that.

8The Primaris Chaplain Stands Out From Other Marines
The Primaris Chaplain Costs $62.50 From Games Workshop
After being recreated as a Primaris Marine,Titus meets the Ultramarine’s Chaplainwho helps him swear a new oath to his old chapter.Space Marine 2players were likely immediately struck by just how different the warrior priest looked from other Ultramarines. The Chaplain wears robes over his armor, a black hood, and a skull mask that gives him an appearance similar to the Grim Reaper. Chaplains also bear holy symbols like long scrolls with their oaths written on them and a sort of metal halo.
The Primaris Chaplain model has all the same design elements that makeSpace Marine 2’s Chaplain so visually interesting. In model form, the Chaplain’s many scrolls help give the model a dynamic pose that implies movement. The Chaplain’s intimidating appearance also translates to gameplay abilities through the Fear Made Manifest aura which can take out enemies through intimidation.

7Raveners Are A Unique Tyranid Troop
Ravener Brood Models Cost $58.00 From Games Workshop
While on his first official mission as Primaris Marine, Titus and his allies run into a Ravener. This is a type of Tyranid with a snake-like tail instead of legs. InSpace Marine 2, Titus warns his allies not to stand still, as the Ravener can tunnel underground, then swiftly pop up and ambush them from below. Not only are Raveners units available for aWarhammer 40KTyranid army, but they can also be just as deadly.
Having a physical model of a Ravener can also be a great way to appreciate its cool design.
Ravener Brood models inWarhammer 40Kare faster than some of their fellow Tyranids. This allows them to quickly charge enemies and pressure them with melee attacks. Having a physical model of a Ravener can also be a great way to appreciate its cool design. In contrast,Space Marine 2players might be a bit too busy trying not to get grabbed by one to appreciate how cool the Raveners are.
6Rubric Marines Are Some Of The Most Stylish Chaos Space Marines
Rubric Marines Cost $62.50 From Games Workshop
Space Marines don’t just fight for the Imperium inWarhammer 40K. Quite a few chapters betrayed the Imperium during the Horus Heresy, worshipping the forces of Chaos instead of the God-Emperor of Mankind. One chapter of Chaos Space Marines showed up later on inSpace Marine 2, and it was one of the cooler-designed chapters: The Thousand Sons. In the game, players face off against some Rubric Marines, theundead suits of Space Marine armorcontrolled by the traitor chapter’s sorcerers.
As shown inSpace Marine 2,Rubric Marines have some unique design elementsthat set them apart from other Space Marines. They have large headdresses and bird skull motifs on their armor that give them an ancient-Egypt-inspired look. Rubric Marine models with the Icon of Flames are typically even cooler on the tabletop as Warp Flame is painted blue and green instead of like typical fire as seen inSpace Marine 2.
5The Carnifex Brood Tyranids Are Intimidating Beasts
Carnifex Brood Models Cost $105.00 From Games Workshop
AnySpace Marine 2players who watched Titus getting killed by the massive Tyranid in the introduction and thought “that thing’s pretty cool,” will be happy to learn that there is a model for it inWarhammer 40,000.Carnifexes are massive Tyranids that use their size, muscle, and natural armor to charge through enemiesand structures alike. Each box of Carnifex Brood models comes with two Carnifex that players can build how they like. Players that want their Carnifex to be even more terrifying can give it a stranglethorn cannon for ranged attacks.
How Much DLC Is Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Going To Get?
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 has several paid DLCs and free updates planned for 2024 and 2025. Here’s what’s in store for the next year.
Although not part ofSpace Marine 2,Warhammer 40Kalso sells a unique Carnifex model known as Old One Eye. Old One Eye is a legendary Carnifex in the40Kuniverse that has been seen in several battles, despite being severely wounded. Old One Eye’s Carnifex Brood still comes with two models and for the same price as the typical box, so players who want some more customization options might want to check this model out.
4Exalted Sorcerers Have Dynamic Poses And Bases
Exalted Sorcerers Cost $62.50 From Games Workshop
DuringSpace Marine 2, players square off against a few different types of Thousand Sons sorcerers. The ones that the game calls Lesser Sorcerers are included in Rubric Marines boxes, so players who want both could go that route. However, players who wanta sorcerer more akin to the big bad Imurahwill probably want to check out the Exalted Sorcerers models.
Like Imurah, one of the Exalted Sorcerer models can be put onto a Disc of Tzeentch when building the models. Also like Imurah, the Exalted Sorcerer models show signs of having their body changed by their Chaos god. One of the models has six arms, and another has a swollen blue arm. One seems to have the bird-like features of a Tzaangor but still wears Thousand Sons' armor. These models have much more interesting poses than the lesser sorcerers, making it clear they are the more powerful option.
3The Adeptus Mechanicus Tech-Priest Dominus Is A Technological Wonder
The Tech-Priest Dominus Costs $42.00 From Games Workshop
Players encounter several members of the Adeptus Mechanicus throughoutSpace Marine 2. While some members who can be seen wandering around the main ship aren’t as heavily augmented, players are introduced to the Tech-Priest Nozick who has a lot more technological enhancements. Though Nozick is maybe not the most likeable character, it is hard to deny that his visual design is very striking.
Although Nozick himself doesn’t have a character model inWarhammer 40K,the Tech-Priest Dominus model pretty much has everything players would want from a Nozick model. It has the massive cannon turret, his gear-shaped axe, and the floating Servo Skull attached to his back. It seems pretty clear that Nozick’s design took direct inspiration from this model, so players looking to build and paint their own version of the Tech-Priest will be satisfied with a Tech-Priest Dominus box.
2The Tyranid Hive Tyrant Is Massive And Can Be Built In Multiple Ways
The Hive Tyrant Costs $62.50 From Games Workshop
Space Marine 2players watching Titus get torn apart by a Carnifex likely thought it was one of the nastier things the Tyranids had to offer. Little did they know that Tyranids could get a lot bigger and badder, as demonstrated by the Hive Tyrant later in the game. The Hive Tyrant gets its own boss battle, during which it demonstrates its strength by tearing down the environment with wild swings. It also towers over the Space Marines, something that is also true of its tabletop counterpart.
On the tabletop, the Hive Tyrant stands 120mm, with a 60mm base. In contrast, a Primaris Marine like Titus stands 40mm witha 32mm base. So,just likeSpace Marine 2’s Hive Tyrant, the tabletop version is massive. While players can build it to look like the version fromSpace Marine 2, the model also has a few other cool options, including massive leathery wings that allow the Tyrant to fly.
1The Helbrute Is A Terrifying Reminder Of Chaos' Corruption
The Helbrute Costs $62.50 From Games Workshop
Sometimes, when a Space Marine is grievously wounded, they will be entombed inside a Dreadnought. This massive battle bot both keeps the Marine alive, and turns them into a massive killing machine. The Chaos Space Marine version of this, a Helbrute, was seen inSpace Marine 2. Their lives also tied to the suit, Helbrutes have an even worse deal than Dreadnoughts. Their bodies are distorted by Chaos and fused with the machine, causing Helbrutes to exist in a constant state of agony. This pain fuels their rage in battle where they attack without remorse.
Helbrute models come in a few different styles, allowing players to build the version that best matches the type of Chaos Space Marine they envision. This includes options to build a Thousands Sons version like the one inSpace Marine 2or a version that fits better with other Chaos Space Marine chapters like the Death Guard or Blood Legion.
