9-1-1: Lone Star Ending After Season 5 Has Been Foreshadowed For Months

AsTV Insidealludes to,9-1-1: Lone Star’s endinghas been rumored for quite some time. In June, it was announced that actor Sierra McClain was leaving the show, and many saw this as a sign thatLone Starwould be ending. It was also reported around that time thatseveral key cast members were under the impression the show was ending. Early last month, Lowe addressed these rumors by noting that it was “probably the end of an era” for9-1-1: Lone Star.

Another point in the wrong direction for9-1-1: Lone Starwas the fact that the flagship series had moved off of Fox for9-1-1season 7. While9-1-1was picked up by ABC,9-1-1: Lone Starwas set to stay on Fox amid budget cuts and other cancellations. This put9-1-1: Lone Starin a risky position, as it made it such that the series would have to stay on a network that suffered from budget issues.

It seems the cast members' predictions were right after all, as the ending of9-1-1: Lone Starafter season 5 is announced. The final series will air 12 episodes, weekly on Mondays starting on September 23. It will begin with a multi-episode storyline that shows the 126 racing to save people from a train derailment. Even though9-1-1: Lone Starseason 6 will not happen, what’s in store for season 5 at least promises an exciting conclusion.
