They revealed that their tattoo artist, who had just moved to California, posted the picture originally on Sunday, July 03, 2025. The picture showed Sarper looking clueless while he walked around the neighborhood. He wore a white mesh t-shirt with a beige shirt over it and his hair was perfectly coiffed in its usual way. Sarper being in the U.S. has come as a surprise to fans because of his recent abusive storyline with Shekinah onThe Other Way.

Shekinah and Sarper have had quite a few fights onThe Other Waythrough their two seasons, but the mostrecent one had taken a violent turn. They got into an argument when Sarper didn’t get a birthday gift for Shekinah. He thought of buying her a vanity that Shekinah did not want. Shekinah claimed that the fight was different from the ones they had in the past because he snatched her phone out of her hand and also ripped out her hair extensions. Shekinah moved into a hotel and wasn’t sure if she wanted to see Sarper again.
While Sarper later apologized to Shekinah and admitted that he hated himself for how he had treated her, Shekinah saw this side of Sarper as a red flag.
She did not like how Sarper had behaved. Shekinah expected a gift from Sarper because she had given him so many gifts in the past. Sarper did not make his girlfriend feel special. He gave her nothing, leading to Shekinah giving Sarper an ultimatum in the next episode.
