AfterAgatha All Along’s ending left a lot of interesting unanswered questions for theMCU, I think Kathryn Hahn’s MCU crossover hopes could be perfect for all the characters involved.Agatha All Along’s endingwas a suitably cathartic-feeling conclusion to a series that provided more than its fair share of plot twists and major character developments. Though Agatha Harkness dies inAgatha All Alongepisode 8, this is by no means the ending of her story, as she continues on in the MCU as a spectral ghostly being instead of passing on to the afterlife.

ThoughAgatha All Alongepisode 9 finished up much of the main story of the show, the final scenes of the Disney+ release essentially do the opposite of tying things up neatly, as Agatha and Billy Maximoff head off on a new adventure that has thus far not been further explored in the 5 months since the finale aired. However, Kathryn Hahn’s comments about who she’d like Agatha to meet in theMCU’s upcoming releasesraise some interesting ideas in terms of howthe MCU timelinecould follow up on the major story threads left unaddressed since the show’s ending.

Agatha All Along’s Ending Left A Series Of Big Questions Unanswered For The MCU Story

After a fittingly twisting story along the Witch’s Road - finally closing with the reveal that the concept was fake until Billy’s powers warped reality and brought it to life - leaves both of its focal characters in interesting positions. Despite dying, coming back as a ghost, and Billy briefly trying to exorcise her,Agatha and her unlikely Maximoff ally team up to go and search for Billy’s brother Tommy, who the show previously established also had his soul moved into another dying body, much as the show revealed was the case with William Kaplan becoming Billy.

Naturally, this leaves some major cliffhangers in terms of whether the duo can find Tommy, and what this reunion between brothers could look like after so much has changed for both of them - but these are by no means the only big questionsAgatha All Alongleaves not fully answered. On a similar note, when Billy goes to banish Agatha, he ultimately relents because she reveals she’s scared to reunite with her son, Nicholas Scratch, in the afterlife, worrying what he’ll think of her and the deeds she’s done in her life. As such, both Billy and Agatha have major reunions seemingly hanging on the horizon indefinitely.

Kathryn Hahn’s Hopes Of Agatha Meeting Doctor Strange Or Loki Could Help Answer Some Of These Major Story Questions

In a March 2025 interview with Mythical Kitchen for their Last Meals series, Agatha Harkness actorKathryn Hahn was asked about which MCU characters she’d like to see opposite Agatha, responding that"I think Doctor Strange or Loki would be really fun.“Hahn delved further into these choices by explaining that she considered that the perfect characters to put alongside Harkness would be a “wizard or… a mischief-maker”, aligning with Agatha’s own magical powers and “mischievous magic”.

While the concept of Agatha meeting two of the MCU’s most long-running and popular characters is by itself an appealing one, this is an especially interesting idea currently because of the scenario Harkness and Bill Maximoff find themselves in at the end ofAgatha All Alongitself. Unless the pair are already established as having found Tommy off-screen, interacting with either Doctor Strange, who has an immense knowledge of the nature of reality and may magically be able to find Tommy for them - or Loki, who currently outright is responsible for keeping the multiverse functional - holds a lot of promise.

On the Agatha-focused side of things, it’s also possible that either of these characters could further her personal story regarding Nicholas Scratch, as Loki’s own experience with his family could easily see him encourage or create a reunion on this side. Similarly, Doctor Strange’s experience of seeing Wanda’s trauma and turmoil over losing her own children inDoctor Strange in the Multiverse Of Madnesscould mean he’s a surprisingly perfect character to put opposite Scarlet Witch’s son, as well as a solid choice to interact with Agatha while she’s still struggling with the idea of and opportunity to see her son again.

Avengers: Doomsday & Avengers: Secret Wars Might Have A Perfect Opportunity To Make Kathryn Hahn’s MCU Wish Come True

Currently, there seems to be an obvious avenue for Agatha to meet either or both of Doctor Strange and Loki in the MCU’s upcoming releases. While the full character roster forAvengers: DoomsdayandAvengers: Secret Warsis currently unknown, the setup for a multiversal conflict certainly suggests a huge selection of MCU characters will be in the two releases, and the latest2025Avengers: Doomsdaycast announcementhas only further supported that idea.

From this recent cast announcement, we already know that Tom Hiddleston’s Loki will be a part of the upcoming story ofAvengers: Doomsday. Whether Doctor Strange will be in the fifth Avengers movie is currently unclear, but it stands to reason he’ll be in some combination of the two films due to his prominence in the franchise, as well as the hero being one of the few who already has an understanding of the multiverse pre-Doomsdaythanks to the story ofDoctor Strange in the Multiverse Of Madness.

While there are obviously bigger storylines for the MCU to deal with in these movies than bringing Agatha and Billy Maximoff in to explore their story, the expansive cast the Avengers films will require would mean it’d make sense for them to share some screentime in these releases, even if it’s just because they’re involved in the same battle to save reality as they know it. Similarly, not including the son of Scarlet Witch in these chapters of the Multiverse Saga may seem like something of a waste between his own reality-warping powers and ties to the former Avenger.

With the MCU working on setting up a Young Avengers team, having Billy Maximoff appear in the Avengers movies would also make sense to establish him more as a character, and potentially allow him to meet other Young Avengers candidates like Ms. Marvel and Kate Bishop.

All in all, the chances of Kathyrn Hahn’s MCU character crossover hopes feel far more possible than they may have previously looked before some of these pieces started to come together for the franchise. However, even ifAvengers: DoomsdayorAvengers: Secret Warsdoesn’t bring this wish to fruition, the future of the franchise logistically could make it reality all the same, and arguably would be best off doing so given the narrative links between Agatha, Billy, and Doctor Strange, and how exploring them further could solve severalAgatha All Alongcliffhangers at once.
