One week after the previous finale (“To Catch a Beef”),Bob’s Burgersreturns with its season 15 premiere, and following a surprisingly strong season 14,“The Tina Table: The Tables Have Tina-Ed” sets the stage for an even better set of episodes.Of course, it isn’t without issues. Still, theBob’s Burgersseason 15 premierelands numerous jokes, gives us a handful of memorable character moments, and highlights some of the best parts of the Fox adult animated series.
Cast
“The Tina Table: The Tables Have Tina-Ed” features one main story and oneBob’s Burgerssubplot, like any typical episode of Loren Bouchard’s sitcom. The main story revolves around Tina’s segment, “The Tina Table,“on the Wagstaff School News (WSN). Many students and teachers find the segment boring, but when Tina learns about Mr. Frond’s new computer game he needs funding for, the two characters help each other. Unfortunately, not everything is what it seems with the game. Back at the restaurant,Bob and Linda switch off on explaining horror movie plots (in films they’ve never seen) to Teddy.
There was no hiatus betweenBob’s Burgersseasons 14 and 15 due to season 14 being delayed by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes in 2023.

“The Tina Table: The Tables Have Tina-Ed” Is A Hilarious Start To Bob’s Burgers Season 15
The Episode Is Full Of Funny One-Liners
One quality that everygood episode ofBob’s Burgersneeds is that it must be funny, which isn’t too hard of a task for a sitcom that’s been running for 15 seasons. Thankfully, the season 15 premiere contains plenty of memorable jokes and one-liners.From Linda’s interpretation ofFriday the 13th’s plot to Rudy believing he’s aggressive because of Mr. Frond’s game, the episode is hilarious from beginning to end. Plus, the bit between Tina and Mr. Grant regarding whether mentions of the “Tina Table” refer to the news segment or the actual table itself never gets old.
Bob’s Burgers Origin Story Episode Plans Teased By Creator (Including When It Will Release)
At D23, Bob’s Burgers creator Loren Bouchard teased plans for an origin story episode of the popular series, including when it will be releasing.
Theplot allows space for multiple laugh-out-loud moments.Almost every student at Wagstaff takes Mr. Frond’s computer game, which gives them confusing results about their personality. As a result, the premiere features clever contradictions concerning what we know about each character. As for the sub-plot, the horror movie storylines Linda and Bob make up for Teddy are equally hilarious and produce some great Bob andLinda quotes inBob’s Burgers.

The Bob’s Burgers Season 15 Premiere Wisely Focuses On Tina & Mr. Frond
All The Belchers (& Teddy) Still Have Time To Shine In The Episode
Everyone has their favoriteBob’s Burgerscharacter, but if one were to poll each viewer, the majority would say Tina. Consequently, it was smart for the writers to open season 15 with a Tina-centric episode. While “The Tina Table: The Tables Have Tina-Ed” certainly isn’tthe best Tina Belcher episode inBob’s Burgers,Dan Mintz’s animated character still shines in it and has plenty of standout moments, including her frustration with Jimmy Jr.’s behavior after receiving his personality results. Mr. Frond is also one of the show’s best side characters, so utilizing him to uplift Tina’s story was wise.
Bobby Tisdale
Zeke
Although Tina is the focus, the episode still highlights every character’s strengths.Bob and Linda’s competitive naturecomes out when trying to decide who’s the best at coming up with fake horror movie plots. Gene has plenty of hilarious one-liners (including “Psychobabble, qu’est-ce que c’est?"). Louise’s skepticism and investigative skills help her sister solve the premiere’s mystery. Finally, Ted’s gullible nature results in one of the episode’s funniest scenes.
Bob’s Burgers Season 15 Premiere Could’ve Been Perfect With A Sentimental Moment
Bob’s Burgers Is At Its Best During Emotional Scenes
The only thing missing from the season 15 premiere is a sentimental moment. “The Tina Table: The Tables Have Tina-Ed” is far from being one ofthe most emotional episodes ofBob’s Burgers, which is probably for the best given its content. However, some of the animated show’s best episodes contain at least one heartwarming (or heartbreaking) scenebetween select characters. “The Plight Before Christmas” is arguablythe top holiday-themedBob’s Burgersepisodebecause of Louise’s poem, and Bob and Tina’s heart-to-heart in “Vampire Disco Death Dance” is relatable and memorable. Unfortunately, that is missing here.
The writers could have incorporated a poignant moment between the three Belcher kidswhile Gene and Louise are trying to help Tina; or Tina and Mr. Frond could have shared a surprisingly moving scene. Ultimately, for a premiere, it’s quite successful in setting the stage for what will hopefully be a greatBob’sBurgersseason, but more emotion would have put the episode over the top.

Bob’s Burgersseason 15, episode 1 premiered on September 29 at 9pm ET on Fox, with new weekly episodes releasing each Sunday.
