Boruto: Two Blue Vortexhas drastically increased the danger for the heroes byintroducing some of the franchise’s most powerful villains. Not only is the protagonist being threatened by Jura and his army of Sentient God Trees, but he also has to worry about the powerful warriors of Konoha who see him as a traitor.
Still, one more villain is waiting to get his revenge against the heroes, one who has been considered the weakest of them all:Code. While not as imposing at the moment, a small detail prognosticated that he is destined to become several times stronger. According to Kashin Koji, he will become strong enough to not only beat Kawaki but also absorb the power of the Chakra Fruit.

Code Was Destined To Defeat Kawaki
Kashin Koji Mentioned His Terrifying Future Power
During chapter 13 of theBoruto: Two Blue Vortexmanga, Kashin Koji revealed that the cells of Shibai Otsutsuki implanted in his body gave himthe ability to see all possible futures. Despite how the various timelines branched, Jiraiya’s clone noticed that several events could indicate how things would turn out in the future. One of these diverging events wasCode defeating Kawaki and feeding him to the Ten-Tails, effectively creating a Chakra Fruit that would drain all life energy from Earth.
At the time, this detail did not seem relevant to the story, as Isshiki’s pupil had not been perceived as a threat by either the heroes or the fans. Since his reintroduction to the series in chapter #1, Code is several times weaker than most other fighters. Boruto was able to easily overpower him and could have killed him during their brief encounter with his devastating Rasengan Uzuhiko. Ryu,the newly awakened Sentient God Tree, was also shown to be stronger than Code, implying all these creatures surpass his abilities.

Nonetheless, these characters do not consider that the cyborg has impressive resilience, never once relenting on his goals. According to the vision of Kashin Koji,he will find a way to surpass his current limitsand reach the level needed to defeat Kawaki. Not only that but it is implied that he could either defeat Jura’s group himself or wait until the heroes do, as the Ten-Tails’ Chakra is currently separated into the Sentient God Trees. If Code reaches this level, there is little Boruto or his allies can do to stop him.
Jura Might Have Committed a Mistake in Taunting Code
His Mocking Comments Might Have Pushed The Cyborg Past His Limit
During chapter #15 of the manga, Code is captured and mocked by the Sentient God Trees, who have stopped seeing him as their master and regard him as a pest not worth their time. Despite his outstanding power, Isshiki’s follower was not even considered a threat, prompting Jura to let him go, not beforetaunting him by stating that he should kill Boruto and Kawakiand obtain a Chakra Fruit. Before leaving, Code swore that he would achieve this task and would make his former lackeys pay for his humiliation.
This moment heavily implies that Jura does not believe his former master will be able to defeat his enemies, likely hoping that he will die trying. It is this action that could have awakened Code’s anger, fueling his desire for revenge. Jura might not see the cyborg as a threat now, but he could become one of his major problems in the future. Hatred and his desire to become an Otsutsuki are what motivate Code to push forward. Jura’s challenging words are nothing more than more reasons why he needs to achieve his goals and prove himself superior.

Code Could Become an Unlikely Ally
The Enemy of My Enemy
It could also be possible that Code will work with Boruto to hunt and eliminate the Sentient God Trees, an idea that was already proposed to him earlier in theTwo Blue Vortexmanga. As the story is in its early stages, it is still soon to discredit Kawaki’s old rival as a weak antagonist. He could still surprise fans by becoming the biggest threat to the world theNarutofranchise has ever seen.
As of chapter #15,Boruto: Two Blue Vortexhas continuously surprised fans with its shocking twists. Code becoming an antagonist more powerful than any of the heroes would not be the most outlandish concept, even if the character has been constantly mocked by the fandom. Nonetheless, this beloved series has everything it needs to continue being a success among fans for years to come.
