Bri Muller had a mixed showing onBelow Deck Mediterraneanseason 9, but she should be brought back for a redemption season. Captain Sandy Yawn andBelow Deck Down Underalum Aesha Scott returned for the ninth installment as the leaders. Captain Sandy had eight seasons under her belt, while Aesha returned to season 9 after four years. Since former Chief Stew Hannah Farrier was fired in season 5,Below Deck Medhas been on a downward spiral with fan reception. However, Aesha somewhat revamped the show after years of distaste.

As the leader of the interior department, Aesha worked with Bri Muller and Elena “Ellie” Dubaich for the majority of the season untilCarrie O’Neill joined as a late arrival. As the charter season progressed, the cracks in the interior showed. Bri didn’t have the most experience as a stew and Ellie let her personal problems seep into her work life. While Aesha tried to lead the team smoothly, it wasn’t until Carried arrived that they operated as a functional crew.Bri was mostly criticized for her performance but deserves another shotto prove herself in the franchise.

Bri Struggled As A Stew But Was An Entertaining Yachtie

She Was Critiqued For Her Laundry Skills

There’s no doubt Bri has a lot of room to grow as a stew. When she joined season 9, she admitted she hadn’t finished a full yachting season because she ran into issues with the former crews she worked with. When she was ranked as third stew and tasked with keeping laundry organized, Aesha quickly learned why Bri hadn’t completed a season. She was terrible in the laundry roomand struggled to keep track of the crew and guests' clothes.

Bri mixed up clothing items, lost pieces, and failed to complete her work on time.

Where Bri faltered in her skills as a stew, she picked up in her presence as a reality personality. She was an extremely entertaining yachtie and charmed the audiencein the confessional chair. Bri wasn’t the most hilarious crew member, but she had a certain wit about her that invited the audience. Unfortunately, the majority of her time on season 9 was dominated by her feud with Ellie. The stews fought over the lead deckhand, Joe Bradley, whom they were both attracted to. Ellie admitted she was interested in him but Bri hooked up with him despite her feelings.

After Bri hooked up with Joe, Ellie resented the third stew. She used her power as the second stew to make Bri’s life as a stew extremely hard. Their season-long feud was unwarranted because neither of them knew him nor did Joe want to pursue a relationship with either of them. They finally squashed their beef toward the end of the season after Ellie overhead the lead deckhand singing a rude song about not wanting either of them.Bri and Ellie’s conflictwas too much at times, though it dominated most of the show’s storyline.

Bri’s Poor Performance Led To Speculation She Was A Producer Plant

Bri struggled so much with laundry that somefans believed Bri was a producer plant. Her laundry skills got so bad the crew silently agreed not to bring up her performance to Captain Sandy or Aesha so she wouldn’t be fired. The captain pulled Bri aside numerous times to let her know she needed to improve with laundry, though she made little to no progress.Captain Sandy’s reluctancy to fire the third stew hinted that she was a producer plant, though there’s no official confirmation she was brought into the cast to stir up drama.

With More Time & Experience, Bri Will Thrive On Below Deck Med

She Needs Another Season To Prove Herself

Bri could thrive if she was given another shot onBelow Deck Med. With one season on the show under her belt, she understands the demands of working on the superyacht while also filming the reality show.No one could have prepared her for how stressful it is to film the show and work at the same time, but now she knows what to expect heading into another season. Bri wasn’t the best stew, butBelow Deckhas hired far worse crew members in the past.

Carrie O’Neil

“Floating” Stew

Despite her lack of experience, she always tried her best and made progress by the end of season 9. Bri now understands Aesha’s working style as a Chief Stew and would be able to work with her smoothly in another future season. Plus, she could work better in service as opposed to laundry if given the opportunity. She opened up to Captain Sandy during a few charters, hinting that the captain had a liking for the third stew.

Bri deserves another shot to redeem herself with Captain Sandy and theBelow Deck Medaudience. After spending most of the season feuding with Ellie, the third stew will know what to expect when filming the show her second time around. Bri was a newbie on the series and should be brought back for season 10.
