Gellar’s return is arguably the biggest key to making a newBuffy the Vampire Slayershow work, and the fact that she will seemingly be involved if the show scores a series order is a big win. This could be enough on its own to appeal to viewers of the original. Bringing back otherBuffy the Vampire Slayercharacterscould certainly enhance the experience, however, and figures like Oz, Willow (Alyson Hannigan), Giles (Anthony Head), Faith (Eliza Dushku), and Andrew (Tom Lenk) could be welcome additions.

Until theBuffy the Vampire Slayerrevival gets a pilot or series order at Hulu, there’s no guarantee the show will actually come to life. And if it does get the green light, Green probably won’t be appearing in the pilot. That doesn’t rule out his return in later episodes, however, and it certainly sounds like he’s open to a comeback if things work out.
