Much like the first game,Silent Hill 2used those limitations to make the game spookier, so it’s good that some are returning for the remake.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter),Bloober Teamrevealed that it’s been working on a way to “complete the old-school experience” witha “90s filter” that adds a film grain effect, color correction, and screen adjustments to better emulate the PlayStation 2 version.

The video that accompanied the post certainly looks the part asthe setting draws players into the central action on the screen and obscures their surroundings just enough to make them threatening. It’s a fantastic addition that demonstrates Bloober Team’s understanding of what makesSilent Hill 2work.
