As was seen in the previousCreature Commandosepisode 6, Task Force M managed to reassemble in their mission to kill Princess Rostovic, having been ordered to do so by Amanda Waller after she was shown Circe’s vision of the future where the Pokolistan monarch triggers WWIII and a massive global takeover. However, Rick Flag and Eric Frankenstein recently discovered evidence suggesting the vision might have been false. Keeping that in mind, here’s our recap and ending breakdown forCreature Commandosepisode 7as the truth is finally revealed.

Young Nina in Creature Commandos Episode 7

Creature Commandos Episode 7 Ending Explained

Why The Bride Killed Princess Rostovic

Thanks to the security footage showing Clayface with Rostovicdays earlier which Task Force M found during their initial break-in,The Bride chooses to go with her gut and strong belief that Circe’s vision was indeed true and that Illana really does intend to start the next World War. Having hired Clayface to pose as Professor Mcpherson to make her confirmation of the vision less credible, Illana had hoped to waylay all suspicion on her and her plans for her nation until it was far too late. That being said, that was not the biggest reason why The Bride decided to pull the trigger and put a bullet in the princess' head.

Creature Commandos Cast & DC Character Guide

Creature Commandos will kick off James Gunn’s new DC Universe with an animated TV series including some of the weirdest DC Comics characters.

While Circe’s dark vision of the future being true certainly helped,The Bride confirms just before killing Ilana that she’s killing the princess mainly because she killed Nina. Mazursky was the only friend The Bride had, and the only monster on Task Force M who actually possessed any sort of real kindness. As such, seeing The Bride walking out of the castle and back to Belle Reve with tears in her eyes is truly heartbreaking, making Nina’s demise all the more tragic than it already was.

The DCU’s New Creature Commandos Roster Explained

A Mix Of Old And New Faces For Task Force M

Regardless of her personal motives, it’s revealed at the very end ofCreature Commandosepisode 7that Waller elected to reward The Bride by converting one of Belle Reve’s wings into a dedicated space for Task Force M. Likewise, John Economos confirms that this includes The Bride’s new team members as well. While Doctor Phosphorus and Weasel are still part of Task Force M following the Pokolistan mission, it seems as though Waller has added some new recruits as well.

In the final scene ofCreature Commandosepisode 7 at Belle Reve, Doctor Phosphorus is shown playing Ping-Pong with what looks to be Francine Langstrom aka She-Bat (wife of the Batman villain Man-Bat). She-Bat was briefly shown in earlier episodes ofCreature Commandos. Likewise, a mummy is shown knitting in the background of the new Task Force M facility. This could either be Aten, a mummy communications expert in some of the Creature Commandos' earliest rosters on the page, or Khalis II, a mummy medic featured in the New 52 version of the team.

Waller With Flag in Creature Commandos Episode 7

Next to Weasel is an upgraded version of G.I. Robot is featured as well, as it looks like Waller had him rebuilt (with a much bigger body). Last but not least isNanaue aka King Shark, a surprising yet very exciting and fitting addition to Task Force Mfollowing his involvement with Task Force X as seen in 2021’sThe Suicide Squad. While King Shark was voiced by Sylvester Stallone in the live-action James Gunn movie, King Shark is instead voiced inCreature Commandosepisode 7 by Diedrich Bader.

Rick Flag’s Creature Commandos Fate and Future Explained

Task Force M Is Just The Beginning

Waking up from his coma following his fight with Clayface, Rick Flag was awake just long enough to warn Waller. As such, it’s strongly implied that Flag will eventually recover from his injuries. However, his work with Task Force M may come to an end now that The Bride is seemingly in charge of the team going forward. Likewise,Frank Grillio’s Rick Flag does have a future in upcoming DCU projects, having been confirmed to appear in live-action both in 2025’sSupermanas well as inPeacemakerSeason 2.

Creature Commandos Episode 7 Post-Credits Scene Explained

Eric Frankenstein Lives

While brief, there is a post-credits scene at the end ofCreature Commandosepisode 7, confirming that Eric Frankenstein survived being shot repeatedly (and being spit on) by The Bride. As such, it stands to reason that Eric will no doubt be included inCreature Commandosseason 2 to try and reunite with his “love” once more. In the meantime, the post-credits scene shows him with his gypsy informant who feeds him “sparrow-dropping” soup.
