Warning: Contains potential spoilers for Dandadan Season TwoDandadan’s first season took the anime world by storm, stealing the hearts of viewers with its energetic pacing and lovable characters. With Season Two just around the corner, the series' return in Julyis shaping up to be one of 2025’s most anticipated releases. Outside of a new trailer and some promo art, little has been revealed regarding how much of the manga’s events will be covered, though it seems the team behind the production has sneakily shared some new information about it.
Brought to light by X user, DheeruPra, a recent interview gave a look at some Season Two storyboards, revealing at least one arc that will be covered to completion in the upcoming release. Given that the earliest portions of the Evil Eye arc began during Season One’s final episodes, fans expected Season Two to cover the rest of the section’s events. Now, with the reveal of the storyboards, that has all but been confirmed as true. The post featuring the storyboards can be foundhere.

Dandadan’s Second Season Will Cover the Manga’s First Large-Scale Battle
The Evil Eye Arc Features Explosive Action
The storyboards captured in the interview show two prominent details that were introduced into the series following the Evil Eye arc. The first showcases what appears to be the main cast rebuilding the Ayase home following the fight between Okarun and Evil Eye Jiji. The second, which is a close-up of Okarun with few detailed features as storyboards often have, appears to showcase his more current hairstyle, also introduced after the Evil Eye arc.
Fans largely expected the Jiji-centered arc to wrap up during Season Two, though it had not been confirmed whether the season would feature any of the events that followed the confrontation. The Evil Eye portion of the story featuresDandadan’s first large-scale battle, which would undoubtedly be taxing on the creators of the anime adaptation. It wouldn’t be a surprise if they chose to stretch the arc’s events over the entirety of the upcoming season so as not to stretch their efforts too far. The recently revealed storyboards, however, seem to suggest differently.

However, the newly surfaced storyboards suggest that Season Two will cover beyond that arc, leaving fans wondering just how far into the manga’s events the new season will journey. Immediately following the rebuilding of the Ayase home, Kinta is introduced into the series, and the gang becomes tied up in a Kaiju confrontation.

Given how visually impressive the Evil Eye arc is in the manga, the anime staff may not want to expend their resources any further in such a short time following Season One’s airing.
