Deadpool & Wolverinefeatured plenty of blink and you’ll miss it Easter Eggs, but I hope one Scarlet Witch reference means that the character is coming back. Yes, there were plenty of incredible cameos, and it was cool to see the Fantasticar in the void, but what I really want from theMCUis for Wanda Maximoff to come back. Her life in the MCU was riddled with sadness and grief, and the character deserved so much better from her time in the limelight.
Despite losing her parents and becoming an orphan, she pushed forward with her brother to make a better life. Then, when she lost her brother, she found a home with the Avengers. Then, when the Avengers split up and took sides,Wanda ran away with Visionto try and have a quiet life away from contention. But just as things always did, her world came crashing down, and she lost the love of her life. Through the events ofWandaVision, she was transformed into a villain, and only in her final moments inDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessdid she find redemption. ButWanda deserves better!

Deadpool & Wolverine Included A Reference To The Place Where Scarlet Witch Died
Mount Wundagore Made An Appearance In Deadpool & Wolverine
After her tragic death andMarvel officially confirming the fall of Scarlet Witch, it felt as though all hope was lost. But then, a glimmer of light appeared in the shape ofDeadpool & Wolverine. The movie was full of callbacks and connections to the MCU, and Marvel films in general, and one such moment was a direct reference to Scarlet Witch’s death. While Deadpool and Wolverine explore the rebels' hideout, the movie reveals some interesting shots of the surrounding area. And, at one point, the face of a statue is brielfy shown.
The MCU Just Changed How You Look At WandaVision’s Ending, 2 Years Later
New comments from series creator Jac Schaeffer help to reframe the climactic battle between Agatha and Wanda at the end of Marvel’s WandaVision.
Thismonument inDeadpool & Wolverineis the exact same one, depicting the image of Scarlet Witch fromMultiverse of Madness, which is seen at Mount Wundagore. While the movie did lean heavily into having connections to other universes, it’s hard to imagine that this clip was included without any deeper meaning, as thestatue and Wundagore itself are such a pivotal part of the storyfor Scarlet Witch.

I’m Convinced Marvel Is Going To Bring Back Scarlet Witch Despite Her Death
Scarlet Witch Is Due For A Comeback In The MCU
The things is,in a universe like the MCU, death is not always the end. While there are meaningful deaths and moments that are pivotal to the entire MCU, like Tony Stark’s sacrifice, there are others which can quite simply be adjusted or changed in some way. Even in the case of Tony Stark, the beloved character played by Robert Downey Jr. from the birth of the MCU, RDJ is now set to return as Doctor Doom, which may be a disconnected character, but the fact that both will share a face is likely to hold some significance.
Through the events ofWandaVision, she was transformed into a villain, and only in her final moments inDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessdid she find redemption.

Then characters like Gamora suffered a permanent death, but another variant entered into the Sacred Timeline, and on, and on. The ways that the MCU could continue exploring and using characters beyond their death is nearly limitless. So, itmakes perfect sense for them to bring back someone who is as powerful and significant as Wanda, especially considering the threat that is on the way in the MCU with Doctor Doom arriving imminently. And, in order to set it up correctly, it would make sense for the MCU to bring Wanda back as soon as possible.
I Know The Perfect MCU Project To Resurrect Scarlet Witch - And It’s Releasing Soon
Wanda Could Be Back In The MCU Before The End Of The Year
While films likeAvengers: DoomsdayandAvengers: Secret Warsare expected to see several returning characters from across the timelines, it actually makes the most sense to bring Wanda back much earlier. Fortunately, the perfect MCU project to do just that comes out this month.Agatha All Alongwill follow Agatha Harkness, the primary antagonist in theWandaVisionseries, as sheattempts to find a way to get out of Wanda’s imprisonment.
Despite Marvel’s Recent TV Troubles, I’m Convinced The MCU’s Next Show Can Break The Trend
Marvel’s next show, Agatha All Along, has many promising elements that prove it could be great, despite Marvel’s recent spotty TV record.
The series will, of course, have connections toWandaVision, and in the trailers which have been released so far, there is a strong presence felt by Wanda’s Scarlet Witch, despite her apparent demise. The show will follow Agatha and her new friends as they walk the Witches Road, and it could be along this path that Wanda finds her way back to life, and into the Sacred Timeline once again. Considering the not so subtle hint inDeadpool & Wolverine, there is every reason to believe we will finally see Elizabeth Olsen reprise her role inAgatha All Along.
