As it turns out,the news of Destro’s death appears to have been greatly exaggerated,as the Scottish Laird arrives on the scene to take control of his company back from the Twins. Thus, the stage is set for an epic confrontation, with multiple parties vying for control of the global arms market and thevaluable power source known as Energon.

The classic continuity saw Destro constantly scheming to wrest control of Cobra away from the Commander, sothe two coming to blows in the new continuity sets up their eternal dynamic for the Energon Universe. After an attack by Astoria in her disguise as Chameleon, Destro went into hiding, working with General Flagg and the U.S. government to uncover the true identity of his attacker.
