Over a year sinceDisney LorcanareleasedThe First Chapter, the newest set -Azurite Sea- is here to take players to tropical locales around the high seas. This also means that characters get new sea-themed glimmers and that the new cards often reflect a pirate aesthetic. Disney movies likeTreasure Planet, Big Hero 6,andLilo & Stitchget to shine, but characters fromWinnie the PoohandChip n' Dale: Rescue Rangersare also prominently featured here.
The Illumineer’s Trove forAzurite Seais a perfect representation of both this theme and those beloved Disney IPs. Thebox itself features Jim Hawkins fromTreasure Planet,Tigger, Stitch, and Baymax fromBig Hero 6.The first three are all fitted out in pirate attire, but Baymax gets a striped life preserver - and all are featured on part of a ship with waves behind them. It’s a cool new look for many Disney characters, and an aesthetic I adored in bothAzurite SeaStarter Decks.

10 Disney Lorcana: Azurite Sea Cards You’ll Want ASAP
The trading card game, Disney Lorcana, is releasing a fun new pirate-themed expansion soon with some cards looking pretty amazing to play with.
The dividers are made from pretty sturdy cardboard that I always use to separate cards by their Ink from each set. The storage box is also perfect for keeping all the cards in, although it’s too large to really use as a deck box to take to competitions. From a collector’s perspective,it’s an ideal way to storeAzurite Seacards.

Card Highlights From The Azurite Sea Set
New Enchanted Artwork Ups The Chase Factor
Of course, the highlight of theAzurite Seaset ofDisney Lorcanaare thenew Enchanted cards. Each Enchanted card looks like an aged, nautical map and will sometimes even have markings that look like pencil around them. It’s a great new aesthetic introduced here, and although I didn’t pull any Enchanteds in my Trove, they’re some of the most impressive chase cards I’ve seen in the TCG to date.
Is The Azurite Sea Illumineer’s Trove Worth It?
A Great Collector’s Item With Bonuses Too
The Illumineer’s Trove is really more of a collector’s itemthan anything, offering a way for fans to store their cards while opening booster packs. If you don’t have an official Lore counter or dice, this is also a great way to get them. Those interested in trying out the TCG for the first time will likely want to start with the variousDisney LorcanaStarter Decksout there, or evenDisney Lorcana: Gateway, which is a great introduction to the game. Still, the Illumineer’s Trove is great for anyLorcanafan out there and would also make a nice gift this holiday season.
Compared to other Illumineer’s Troves,Azurite Sea’s is pretty solid and retains the usual kinds of items (and quality) thatDisney Lorcanahas given us in the past. While I’ll always lament the lack of booklets in these newer boxes, everything that’s included here is great. As a set,Azurite Seahas quickly become one of my favorites- and the nautical artwork is undoubtedly a highlight. It feels likeDisney Lorcanahas reached new heights withAzurite Sea, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
