He will be bringing Doctor Doom to life, and this legendary supervillain is expected to be opposed by many iconic heroes in his MCU debut.

Production on the 2026 crossover movie and its 2027 sequel,Secret Wars, is well underway, prompting Marvel Studios to finally confirm several members ofAvengers: Doomsday’shighly-anticipated cast. In this drawn-out announcement on March 26, Marvel released the names ofDoomsday’sroster in roughly 15-minute intervals, kicking off at 11am ET.These names include characters associated with at least three different superhero teams, which promises a jam-packed line-up inDoomsday, though there is still one huge mystery Marvel needs to solve.

The Avengers, Thunderbolts & Fantastic Four Have Been Confirmed For Doomsday

Thecast ofThe Fantastic Four: First Stepswas confirmed to be returning forAvengers: Doomsdayprior to March’s official announcement, but Marvel has now cemented this, revealing that Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn and (presumably) Pedro Pascal will be returning for the Phase 6 crossover after their 2025 debut.They will be joined by members of the upcoming Thunderbolts team. This includes Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, Wyatt Russell’s US Agent, David Harbour’s Red Guardian and Lewis Pullman’s Sentry, with the others presumably following suit.

Marvel Studios also confirmed that Kelsey Grammer would be returning as Hank McCoy’s Beast inAvengers: Doomsday. This suggests that a version of the X-Men team, whether from Fox’sX-Menfranchise or the alternate universe fromThe Marvels, will also appear inDoomsday.

As well as the Fantastic Four and the Thunderbolts,Avengers: Doomsdaywill clearly also feature the titular Avengers team. TheAvengers disbanded afterEndgame, and hasn’t been active throughout the Multiverse Saga, butCaptain America: Brave New Worldteased the team’s reformation, and this has now all but been confirmed forDoomsday. Even so,the line-up of the Avengers hasn’t been announced, which leavesDoomsdaywith plenty of explaining to do, as Marvel has only confirmed two official members of the new team.
