Why The Smiley Monster Is Really Resurrected In From

The Monsters Are Immortal

The season 3 finale reveals that the monsters were once people, but they sacrificedFrom’s"Anghkooey"childrenin exchange for eternal life. Smiley and the other individuals are now able to live forever in their monstrous forms, meaning thatSmiley’s death at Boyd’s hands was never going to be permanent. The monsters' immortality prevents them from being permanently killed by the other residents, as they can simply be reborn in the way Smiley was via Fatima.

In the end, Fatima’s baby only saves the monsters, whose numbers are now fully replenished, and can continue their eternal reign of terror with Smiley beside them again inFromseason 4.
