What The New Casting Means For Gen V Season 2
Could They Be New Students At Godolkin?
The seven new cast members aren’t the only new additions totheGen Vcast.Midnight Massactor Hamish Linklater has been confirmed as part of the ensemble. He’ll play Cipher, who is described as a charismatic and charming newly-appointed Dean of Godolkin University. Trained as a scientist and described as politically brilliant, Cipher also has the trust and admiration of officials at the highest level. He replaces the former Dean, Indira Shetty (played by Shelley Conn), who died late in season 1.

Even though Linklater looks to have a connection to the main story and theGen Vseason 1 ending, the new seven recurring actors are for the most part on the younger side. That means thatthey could play students at God U.
Gen Vseason 2 does not have a premiere date announced. But with filming wrapped, new episodes are expected in 2025.

Even though the first installment closed out with a cliffhanger, it’s confirmed season 2 will go back to the familiar university campus surroundings. That could be where these new additions contribute most to the story.
Our Take On The New Gen V Castings
The Show Is Moving Forward After A Loss
One of the coolest and funniest things aboutGen VandThe Boys, more broadly, is seeing what weird powers the new characters will have. The spinoff, from showrunner Michele Fazekas, takes that to a new level. But it will also have the more serious task of saying goodbye to Perdomo, who died in a motorcycle accident in March of this year. It’s unclear how his character, Andre Anderson, will be written off.
