WithGenshin Impactwell into its fifth year of content,it’s about time developer HoYoverse brings an end to the way that Alchemy Tables (Crafting Benches) currently operate and facilitate farming and crafting for players,as it has done in other titles under its belt. The action RPG is heading into Version 5.3 soon, a patch that should conclude the main story arc set in Natlan. Based on what is expected to happen and the leaks so far, the update is likely going to be the largest one since Version 5.0, which introducedNatlan toGenshin Impact’s map.

The game has been growing substantially in content, with an entire region being presented with every X.0 update. In addition to the regular playable content itself,HoYoverse has committed to enhancing the general player experience with several system optimizations and quality-of-life updates. One such update that has leaked is said toimprove character-building inGenshin Impact5.3and onward, by helping players sort Artifacts for the characters they are working on. This comes in light of all the other tweaks that have occurred over the past years. However, there’s still one feature that could be fixed.

Alchemy Tables In Genshin Impact Need To Become Portable

HoYoverse Could Take Inspiration From Honkai: Star Rail

Alchemy Tables, localized in every main city in the game, are where players go to craft new items that they need for character and weapon Ascension, as well as leveling Talents. This feature plays a vital role in the game and it is utterly indispensable, but now it needs a fix more than ever.Alchemy Tables need to be made portable instead of only set in specific zones in each city of Teyvat. HoYoverse does not need to look too far for inspiration, as the crafting system inHonkai: Star Railis portable and it works marvelously.

Genshin Impact: Mavuika Ascension & Talent Materials

To fully unlock Mavuika’s potential as a Pyro character in Genshin Impact, you’ll need to farm several materials for her Ascension and Talents.

In the turn-based RPG, players can head to the Astral Express and access the Omni-Synthesizer or, instead, just open it via the main menu, regardless of where they are at the moment. Even if the system does have a fixed location for players to manually reach if they desire to do so,having it easily accessible through the main menu makes it extremely practical as it saves a few unnecessary trips to the Astral Express, where that would be the only thing to do. It’s a perfect example of whyGenshin Impactshould also make this feature available for players.

Another example of practicality inHonkai: Star Railis claiming items from Assignments without having to go to a specific place, like theAdventurer’s Guild inGenshin Impact, or even claiming the rewards from Daily Training straight from the menu rather than relying on a specific NPC interaction.

How A Portable Alchemy Table In Genshin Impact Could Benefit Players

Farming Could Become More Seamless Than Ever

Players would greatly benefit from having a portable Alchemy Bench to rely on, especially when Ascending characters and weapons or leveling Talents. The game does provide some insight into how many of a specific item are needed and how many players can craft with the materials they currently have butplayers have to interrupt their farming efforts at a Domain and then head to the Alchemy Bench, located far away from said Domain, craft, and then return, seeing how many they still need tofarm inGenshin Impact. As quickly as teleporting around is, it can be disruptive.

Genshin Impact 5.3 Leaks Show A Lan Yan Buff Finally Makes Her Usable

Lan Yan’s leaked gameplay kit is already getting a significant buff for Genshin Impact 5.3, finally making her a usable character in team comps.

Farming materials is already an exhaustive task, especially at the rate required by the action RPG, so the fewer interruptions players have to endure while doing it, the better.A portable Alchemy Table would allow players to craft the items inside the Domain and instantly check how many more they need, giving them an idea of how many more times that activity has to be challenged, for example, and how muchOriginal Resin inGenshin Impactthey need. It’s a minor tweak that can save time in the long run and effectively help players farm with the information they need.

HoYoverse has been making an intense push toward optimizing the player experience, such as adding filters for crafting and a feature that shows how many items can be crafted, but this would be one of the largest improvements in a while. Players have been hinting at their desire for a portable Alchemy Table since the game’s release back in 2020 and with the developer’s intentions to make the game smoother for all players, this would be the ideal moment to offer that crafting portability to players inGenshin Impact.
