The majorStar Warsantagonist made his debut in Timothy Zahn’s 1991 novel “Heir to the Empire,” as he returns to the known galaxy to unify a fractured Empire following the death of Emperor Palpatine. In 2016,Thrawn returned to canon as aStar Wars Rebelsantagonistportrayed by Lars Mikkelsen, who reprisedthe role in live-action for 2023’sAhsoka.
AsStar Wars' “Gift The Galaxy” program continues to unveil new merchandise,Hasbrohasunveiled their latest addition to The Vintage Collection 3.75 action figure line. Inspired by Zahn’s “Heir to the Empire” trilogy, the set includes three individually carded figures in the line’s iconic retro-inspired packaging that includes Grand Admiral Thrawn, his Imperial comrade Captain Gilad Palleaon, and the maddened Jedi Master clone J’oruus C’baoth rendered in the current highly-articulated style of the figure line.
Each figure comes with accessories that compliment each character, including Thrawn and Palleon’s respective blasters, a Force-negating Ysalamiri Lizard that can rest on the Grand Admiral’s shoulders, and both an ignited and unlit lightsaber and alternative Force lightning hand for C’baoth.
