If fans were looking forshows likeHazbin Hotelto watch during the hiatus, they might have tried outHazbin Hotelcreator Vivienne Medrano’s other animated series set in hell, following a start-up company of assassins. In season 2 episode 11, “Mastermind,” Blitzø (Brandon Rogers) is put on trial for the illegal use of Stolas' (Bryce Pinkham) magical Grimoire, which had previously facilitated I.M.P.’s travels to carry out assassinations on Earth.

This was the arrangement between the demon Prince and his Imp lover until Stolas called upon the demon overlord Asmodeus (James Monroe Iglehart) to help provide I.M.P. with an alternative that was actually legal. To that end,Ozzy gave Blitzø an Asmodean crystal in place of the Grimoire, which Blitzø can be seen wearing on his forearm throughout season 2. Unfortunately, Stolas' ex-wife Stella (Georgina Leahy) and her brother Andrealphus (Jason LaShea) schemed to weaponize their knowledge of this deal, defaming both Blitzø and Stolas in the Courts of Hell.

Andrealphus' aim was to have Stolas stripped of his powers, which would enable Stella to inherit her ex-husband’s wealth and status in place of their daughter, Octavia (Barrett Wilbert Weed). In orderto save Blitzø’s life, Stolas took the blame for the crimeand was sentenced by theHelluva Boss’ruler of Hellto live for 100 years among the common citizens of Hell — and everyone is dealing with the fallout in the twelfth and final episode ofHelluva Bossseason 2.

Octavia Feels Abandoned By Stolas Following The Trial

When Octavia comes looking for her father in “Sinsmas,” she and Blitzø discover Stolas has gone to confront Andrealphus, who uses his own powers to attack Stolas in the form of an ice dragon. I.M.P. and Octavia then intervene to protect Stolas in an epic showdown with Andrealphus. Although the young Goetia does not hesitate to defend her father, she still harbors a great deal of anger towards him.Octavia feels betrayed and abandoned by Stolas;though she surely recognizes that her parents' marriage was loveless, she still feels that her father chose his lover over his own daughter.

In season 2, episode 12’s song “I Will Be Okay,” Via references the lullaby (“You Will Be Okay”) that Stolas sings to her in season 1 episode 2.

Given her mother’s extreme narcissism, Stolas is the only true parental figure Octavia has, prompting her to resent his inability to keep their family together. She accuses Stolas of jumping at the first chance to abandon them, and upon discovering he had been taking antidepressants to cope with his unhappy marriage to Stella, Via asks: “Does that mean you just stayed miserable because of me?” Season 3 is sure to bring interesting things for Octavia’s character, as her toxic dynamic with her mother and the tragic falling out with her father will force her to become more independent.

Blitzø & Stolas Are Sort Of Back Together

Stolas Is Grieving, But Blitzø Has Stepped Up

Stolas moved in with Blitzø and Loona (Erica Lindbeck) after the trial, withI.M.P. providing Stolas a job working alongside Loona. Several moments in the final two episodes ofHelluva Bossseason 2 make it apparent thatBlitzø and Stolas are back together, if unofficially. For example, when Stolas comes to Blitzø’s defense in “Mastermind,” they sing together: “Only death can rend our love apart.” There are also multiple openly affectionate scenes in the finale, including Blitzø and Stolas' dramatic kiss during the battle with Andrealphus, as well as their romantic dance on the balcony during Loona’s Sinsmas party.

Hazbin Hotel Season 1’s 16 Songs, Ranked From Worst To Best

Following Stolas' sentencing and the resultant conflict with Via, the usually aloof and emotionally unavailable Blitzø stepped up to provide Stolas with some much-needed love and support. After the traumatic events of “Mastermind,” Blitzø brought the fallen Goetian home to a bubble bath and tucked him into bed, comically smothering him in horse stuffies. In “Sinsmas,” Blitzø’s surprisingly nurturing behavior continues. He cooks Stolas breakfast, learns his favorite foods, comforts him over the loss of his relationship with Via, and distracts him with a job. While Stolas' grief has left him distant for the moment, their newfound commitment seems promising.

Moxxie & Millie Will Be Making Some Big Decisions Soon

Millie Is Pregnant, & Moxxie Doesn’t Know Yet

Hazbin Hotel Season 2: Cast, Story & Everything We Know

Prime Video’s surprise hit animated musical series Hazbin Hotel has already been renewed for a second season, and there are tons of exciting updates.

Beyond the inherent trepidation of becoming a new parent, Millie has several valid reasons to be concerned about this pregnancy. After all, she and Moxxie have been under financial strain for some time now, as revealed by comments made throughout season 2 (such as when she angrily reminds Blitzø that he hasn’t paid them in a month in season 2, episode 10, “Ghostf*****s”). Furthermore, working as assassins is extremely dangerous — in fact, they were almost executed in “Mastermind.” It is possible Millie simply doesn’t want children, but given her loving relationship with Moxxie, her fears are more likely to do with finances and safety.

What I.M.P. Started In Hell In Helluva Boss Season 2 Explained

There May Be A Hellborn Revolution On The Horizon

Blitzø’s trial created quite the stir, rallying Hellborn support for Imp-kind as well as inspiring hatred for the demon royalty. Blitz was celebrated as a veritable war hero following Stolas' sentencing. AnInfernal Newsheadline seen during “Mastermind” revealed this was becauseI.M.P. had made historyas the first Hellborn to be pardoned after being sentenced to deathby one of theHelluva Boss’seven Deadly Sins. Stolas, on the other hand, receives a more hostile reception from the citizens of Hell after his false confession, in which he claims to have framed Blitzø for the illegal use of the Grimoire.

Creator Vivienne Medrano has confirmedHelluva Bossseason 3 will be released sometime in 2025 with a whopping 15 episodes. Medrano also announced thatHelluva Shortswill continue to air during the wait (viaCollider).

The finale has created plenty of quandaries for theHelluva Bosscharactersin season 3. Stolas has the potential to become a regular I.M.P. employee, and there is still hope he will be able to repair his relationship with Octavia while building a life with Blitzø. What happened to Blitzø’s mother, where Striker (Edward Bosco) and Crimson (Horvitz) are now, how Moxxie and Millie will handle the news of the pregnancy, and what lies in store for the hierarchy of Hell — which has historically meant the oppression of the Imps — are all mysteries that will hopefully be solved inHelluva Bossseason 3.
