Over on Reddit, userAnthrax-Warheadshared a post originally published by reputable Capcom insider and leaker Dusk Golem alleging thatthe much-rumoredCode Veronicaremake will be smaller than the likes ofResident Evil 4 Remake.
The studio supposedly doesn’t intend forCVto be as “ambitious"so fans hoping for a reimagining on that scale may need to temper their expectations for the project. Whether or not that will be the case remains to be seen but Dusk Golem has a decent track record when it comes to Capcom’s upcoming releases.

Set three months after the fall of Raccoon City,the game finally reunites Chris and Claire Redfield as the duo are pulled into another one of Albert Wesker’s sinister plans. Borrowing heavily from the originalResident Eviltrilogy, the gameplay was archaic even by 2000’s standards, meaning a remake would goa long way to improving the experience.

If one character dies in Resident Evil 9, his death would be a significant event in Resident Evil lore, requiring careful handling by Capcom’s team.
Of course, much like any rumor,Resident Evilfans should take Dusk Golem’s word with a grain of salt. Until Capcom officially announces aremake, the project’s existence is still disputable.
