All the contents fromHonkai: Star Rail2.6 have been confirmed by developer HoYoverse during the update’s respective livestream event, including the character banner structure, teasers for the new story quests, and descriptions of the limited-time events and rewards during the patch. Version 2.6 is the next big patch for the turn-based RPG and it should move away from the Xianzhou Luofu’s story arc where the Astral Express crew attended the Wardance Festival. The patch may not distance itself entirely from the Xianzhou Luofu, as the 5-star version of Tingyun is set to be released in Version 2.7 and there will likely be a way to connect players to her. Compared to Version 2.5, this patch may not be too story-heavy, and a lot of the content will revolve around the limited-time events, all of which provide rewards, including free Stellar Jade. The release date for Version 2.6 was officially announced by HoYoverse during the update’s livestream, broadcasted on the officialHonkai: Star Railchannel on YouTube. Following the game’s regular six-week schedule for every update,Version 2.6 will be released on October 23 across all platforms– some regions may gain access to the content on October 22 because of time zones. This debunks the previous rumors that Version 2.5 would be a shorter patch for the turn-based RPG.

Rappa Will Make Her Debut Alongside Superb Reruns
As was previously mentioned, Rappa is the new playable character being introduced with Version 2.6. Rappa is a 5-star Imaginary character who follows the Path of the Erudition, which makes her a specialist in facing multiple enemies at once rather than dealing single-target damage.The Penacony character is a main DPS who also specializes in Break DMG. As such, the Galaxy Ranger known as Rappa can easily be used in team comps alongside Ruan Mei and theHarmony Trailblazer inHonkai: Star Rail, being an Imaginary multi-target alternative to Firefly, for example.
With her Skill, Rappa can deal AoE (area of effect) damage to all opponents on the field. With her Ultimate, Rappa enters the Sealform state and gains Chroma Ink points. In this state, Rappa increases the Weakness Break effect and Break Effect, and iscapable of reducing Toughness on enemies that do not have an Imaginary Weakness. This effect combo’s with Rappa’s Talent, which sees her deal extra Break DMG when an enemy’s Toughness is broken. She can deal Super Break DMG to opponents without the Harmony Trailblazer, though they are a good support for Rappa inHonkai: Star Rail.
Honkai: Star Rail 2.7 Leaks Show Promising Update To Tingyun’s 5-Star Form
New leaks about Tingyun’s 5-star form in Honkai: Star Rail 2.7 have emerged and they hint at what may become a great support character.
Rappa will debut in Phase 1 banners for Version 2.6 and will run alongside Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae. The 5-star version of Dan Heng is an Imaginary character on the Path of the Destruction and excels as both a single-target DPS and a multi-target striker. Imbibitor Lunae is acclaimed as one of the strongest DPS in the game and his only downside is his high Skill Point consumption, which enhances his Basic Attacks significantly – this, however, can easily be mitigated with the presence ofSparkle inHonkai: Star Rail, for example.
Phase 1 banners will have increased drop rates for the 4-star characters Lynx, Xueli, and Yukong.
In Phase 2 banners, Aventurine and Acheron will rerun. Acheron is a 5-star Lightning character on the Path of the Nihility, though instead of simply applying debuffs to enemies, she charges her Ultimate with every debuff played in combat – and upon using the Ultimate, she can deal devastating damage to enemies. Aventurine, on the other hand, is a 5-star Imaginary character on the Path of the Preservation. He is widely acclaimed as one of the best shielders in the game, so players looking for protection rather than simply healing may have a chance of obtaining him.

A New Set Of Penacony Maps Is Being Added
Players will return to the Planet of Festivities in Version 2.6. Upon revisiting Penacony,they will be able to take on a new Trailblaze Continuance quest that will be set within the destination’s Paperfold University. This location will comprise a series of new maps for players to explore as they attend a special academic seminar with distinguished guests. There, they will meet the three different academies that compose Paperfold University, as well as important figures. This includes the Galaxy Ranger Rappa herself, a master of ninjutsu, as well as the long-rumored Mr. Reca inHonkai: Star Rail.
