Finding and beating Wayob Manifestations inGenshin Impactis a vital part of the process of leveling and Ascending certain weapons from the region of Natlan, so knowing where to farm their materials could optimize your efforts. Wayob Manifestations are elite enemies that are scattered across the Nation of Pyro – while not as abundant as Sauroform Tribal Warriors, for instance, they are widespread and, like the enemy faction, represent the elements that pertain to each of the tribes. Thesenew enemies inGenshin Impact5.0are divided into three variations (Geo, Hydro, and Dendro), each with its unique abilities.

Wayob Manifestations are the physical manifestations of the Wayob, god-like entities that are revered by the Natlan tribes. The Wayob dictate a lot of the people’s customs, from their inheritance of the Ancient Names to the approval of expeditions they may want to embark on. Wayob live in the Night Kingdom and, because of this, they cannot appear in the physical world – this is where the Wayob Manifestations come into place. These Manifestations are becoming more violent over time due to the Wayob’s own corruption, influenced by the Abyss’ infiltration of the Night Kingdom inGenshin Impact’s story.

Use The Farming Route For Wayob Manifestations

As of Version 5.0, there are nine overworld Wayob Manifestation enemiesscattered across the currently available Natlan map, as exemplified by the official interactive map onHoYoLAB. Some other Wayob Manifestations can be found in special challenges like the Night’s Trial activities unlocked by the Obsidian Totems, but these are more powerful and require special mechanics to be used in order to defeat them. Additionally, if you are farming Shard of a Shattered Will, Locus of a Clear Will, and Sigil of a Striding Will, you should focus on the Wayob Manifestations on the Natlan map inGenshin Impact.

The image below showcases their exact locations on the map in Version 5.0:

More Wayob Manifestations may be added to the game as the Natlan map continues to expand with future patches.

Two of the Wayob Manifestation locations are set in Toyac Springs, east of the People of the Springs tribe. Central Natlan, from the Stadium of the Sacred Flame to Tepeacac Rise features the largest number of Wayob Manifestations, with a total of four – though they cover a wider landmass. To the northern reaches of the Natlan map in Version 5.0, there are three more Wayob Manifestations. Some of these enemies are located in high plains, so you may have to indwell a Tepetlisaurus, one of the threeSaurian types inGenshin Impact5.0, to reach the Wayob Manifestations.

Overall, Wayob Manifestations are easily spotted from afar since they have a small dedicated arena to themselves.

Tips & Strategies To Beat Wayob Manifestations In Genshin Impact

Break The Enemies’ Shield As Quickly As Possible

In general, Wayob Manifestations are not particularly tough enemies, to beat, but you could optimize your combat strategy by going into the fight knowing what the opponents do and their weaknesses. As was previously mentioned, there are currently three types of Wayob Manifestation. The Flow-Inverted Wayob Manifestation is a Hydro enemy, whereas the Foliar-Swift Wayob Manifestation is a Dendro opponent. Lastly, the Rock-Cavernous Wayob Manifestation is a Geo enemy. As such, these enemies have increased Resistance to the elements they pertain to. For instance, Flow-Inverted Wayob Manifestations have 50% RES to Hydro DMG inGenshin Impact, which could affect strategies.

If you are facing a Flow-Inverted Wayob Manifestations, try to use a team comp that does not rely on Hydro DMG as its main source of damage output. When faced with a Rock-Cavernous variant, Geo DMG will not do as much damage as other elements.Wayob Manifestations in the overworld use a lot of AoE (area of effect) attacks, be they circular explosions to linear laser beam shots. These moves are almost always charged and telegraphed, so be sure to move away from the telegraphed areas. However, all Wayob Manifestations share a central combat mechanic inGenshin Impact.

Genshin Impact 5.0 Artifacts Will Put Natlan Characters At A Huge Advantage

The two new Artifact sets arriving in Genshin Impact 5.0 will put Natlan characters at a huge advantage thanks to great bonuses and stats.

After some time in battle, all Wayob Manifestations create an arena. By doing so, these Natlan enemies gain a non-elemental shield, preventing their HP from being lowered before the shield is destroyed. To destroy it, simply deal damage to it. Inside the arena created by the Wayob Manifestations, all your characters will lose their Energy and cannot recover it, but, in compensation, they will deal increased damage – and characters that deal Nightsoul-aligned damage get an extra damage bonus on top of the one that is provided to all characters, meaningNatlan characters inGenshin Impactare at an advantage.

Only Natlan characters are aligned to the Nightsoul mechanics.

Within these arenas, Wayob Manifestations will also use special types of attacks that differ from their regular skill set. Regardless of the opponent’s elemental type, the damage will come in three instances. It is important to note thatthe shield must be destroyed as quickly as possible, as there is an unspoken timer for the arena. If the shield is not removed and the arena ends, the Wayob Manifestation will unleash its most powerful attack, dealing 100% of its ATK as elemental DMG. Additionally, the remains of its shield will be converted into an elemental shield related to its type.

If you are able to destroy its shield before the arena ends, Elemental Particles will be created and restore your characters’ Energy, allowing you to use Elemental Bursts.Once the shield is destroyed, Wayob Manifestations will also be staggered for a short period, allowing you to deal damage without the risk of being attacked. In general, the main strategies with Wayob Manifestations involve using appropriate elemental-type characters, dodging their telegraphed attacks, and breaking their shields as soon as possible.

Genshin Impact 5.1 Leaks Are Making Me Thrilled For Xilonen

Leaks about Xilonen in Genshin Impact hint at a Version 5.1 release, as well as an incredible set of abilities that may be worth the pulls.

Wayob Manifestations are not difficult enemies to take down, outside of those that are present as Local Legends in Night’s Trials. Their scarcity, however, is somewhat problematic considering that their materials are needed for the Ascension of some new Natlan weapons. This means you will likely be forced to run farming routes and try not to miss any Wayob Manifestations available on the map to increase your material gains. Hopefully, more Wayob Manifestations will be added inGenshin Impact5.1 and beyond, making the farming process a lot easier.
