Chromite is one of the newest farmable materials inPalworld. One caveat of this specific metal is that itrequires players to be over Level 56to be able touse the Metal Detector. The Metal Detector allows you to find hidden ores nearby and marks the metal when you move close to the underground ore. This can beunlocked in the Technology Screen. A node will appear whenever you come across one in a puff of grayish smoke, and up to 90 pieces of Chromite can be mined per node.

This is required for Hexolite weapons, armor, and even other gear in the armory. It is best to stockpile as much Chromite as possible inPalworldto ensure that you have enough to complete the set should you want the upgrade, as it requires massive amounts of Chromite to fully upgrade.
