A will allows you to pass on belongings and wealth inThe Sims 4: Life & Death. During their adult years, a Sim can decide who inherits what items, how much money goes to charity, and what they would desire for their funeral arrangements. Most of the will is automatically enforced upon death, though living relatives may forgo some specifics. Still, a will is a great means of making sure a Sim’s legacy lives on.
The creation of a will is entirely intent on playing beyond your first generation of Sims. This makes itideal for legacy challenges, where the initial Sims will grow old and eventually die. The use of inheritance is less useful if you have made adjustments to time inThe Sims 4. With long lifespans, most of the population will take a long time to die of just old age. And if the Sim you played is immortal, then the will won’t come into effect.

The other option is to write your own will on any computer. The option is under the“Household…”tab and then“Start Will”. The basic will is placed in the Sim’s inventory. Select it there to gain several more options until the will is finished.

How To Create & Pass On Heirlooms
Assign Belongings For Friends And Family
The biggest feature of inheritance is passing along specific items to friends, family, acquaintances, and even enemies. Most household objects can be assigned as an heirloom, though there are some restrictions. Purely functional items like beds, trash cans, and showers seem to be exempt. The item must also be in your home residence and not in aTS4: Get To Workbusiness like the bakery.
For eligible objects, click on them and select“Make Heirloom”. The Sim will walk over to the object, wave their hands, and designate it as their personal heirloom. Each item can only be an heirloom for one specific Sim, though this can be changed while they are alive.
Using the will or an existing heirloom, you can choose which known Sim will gain the object. You must directly know the inbound Sim, though the relationship level doesn’t need to be high. You can further sort the possible Sims by friends, co-workers, or members ofa club from The Sims 4: Get Together.

Heirlooms will take up space in the inheritor’s house or inventory. If the future generation has a small home, they can sell unused heirlooms inThe Sims 4: Life & Death. The original Sim might even want to mark specific items for resale. This results in higher profits for the next generation, though they will lose the sentimental memories of the now-deceased.
