Infinity Nikkiis a beautiful game, and part of the fun of it is finding stunning new locations and outfits. The title is self-described as “the coziest open-world game,” and while it does have an engaging and well-developed story, a majority of the gameplay consists of exploration and discovery. It stands to reason, then, that the game also has a powerful camera that players can use to capture their favorite locations and outfits.
Once you get the camera option,Nikki’s faithful companion Momowill dutifully take pictures of Nikki while she poses for the camera. The default camera settings will get a result that’s similar to the general game look, which does look pretty enough. But to really get the most out of the camera and create some stunning photographs,players will have to familiarize themselves with the camera’s settings. Luckily, Momo’s camera resembles a real-world advanced camera, and it’s fairly easy to learn how to use it and get amazing results.
What Infinity Nikki’s Main General And Graphics Camera Settings Do
The Settings Are Similar To Real Cameras
There are several tab in theInfinity Nikkicamera, each with several sliders and options. The first two tabs,“Camera” and “Graphics”, set up the details of the photo, from how bright it is to whether Nikki is visible or not. There are many different settings in this tab, and learning what each slider does can make or break a fantastic photo.

The “Camera” tab has three sliders and four settings that you can toggle on or off. The latter include:
The “Rotation” slider, and the name implies, controls the tilt of the camera. Moving the slider to the right turns the camera clockwise and turning it left turns it counter-clockwise. The final two sliders in the “Camera” tab are incredibly important and work in conjunction with each other.
Aperture & Focal Length
Aperturerefers to how wide or narrow the opening is in the camera lens, controlling how much light enters the camera. Aperture is measured in f-stops and controls thedepth of fieldof a photo, which affects how blurred or focused the background is.Focal Lengthis a little more difficult to explain without getting technical, but it’s essentially the distance, in millimeters, between the camera’s lens and its sensor. InInfinity Nikki,it’s simpler to see it as larger numbers resulting in more zoom and smaller numbers being more zoomed out.
The focal length is not the same as the zoom of a photo.You can still zoom in or out after the focal length is set.
The “Aperture” and “Focal Length” sliders work together. A large focal length with a low aperture will keep Nikki in focus but blur the background behind her.It’s possible to choose how much of a background is blurred by moving the two sliders. For instance, in the example photos in the gallery above, you can see how I kept Nikki and the flowers behind her in focus, but the background that’s further back is blurred.
Graphics
The “Graphics” tab has 10 additional sliders thatcan be altered for a more dramatic effect. Some of the settings change the image a lot while others offer a more subtle shift. The settings in this tab and their function are as follows:
Vignette
Adds darker border around the sides and corners of the image.
Soft Light Intensity
Softens the quality of the light, for a softer, dreamier look.
Soft Light Range
Adjusts how much of the soft light covers focal points in the image. This effect is usually quite subtle.
Brightness
Adjusts the brightness of the image while maintaining the tonal range, mostly affecting the midtones.
Exposure
Adjusts the overall brightness of the image with no regards for the tonal range, for a more dramatic tonal shift.
Contrast
Adjusts the difference between tones in the image, with higher values resulting in a clearer image and lower values resulting in a more “washed out” look.
Saturation
Adjusts how colorful the colors are. Lower values reduces the intensity for a monochromatic look and higher values result in a more vivid image.
Natural Saturation
Does the same as Saturation but attempts to do so in a way that appears more natural, for a more subtle effect.
Shadows
Adjusts only the darkest values in the image.
Using a combination of these settings can result in very different-feeling images. Changing these canchange the feel of a photo entirely, turning it from a light and airy moment into a dark and dramatic scene.

How To Maneuver Nikki Into Position For The Best Photos
The camera settings are just the beginning. Now that you have the camera doing what you want it to, it’s time to move Nikki and the lighting into position, set up the lighting, and put some finishing touches on the overall image.The “Pose” tab controls what pose Nikki is striking. Every pose has its own slider of motions that Nikki goes through for each pose, and it’s possible to pause and move the slider to find the perfect position for the image you’re trying to take.
The vibe of an image can be completely altered by having Nikki look directly at the camera. Look out for the option to maintain eye contact and Nikki will turn her head (up to a point!) to look straight into the camera.
The “Lighting” tab has several options for illuminating Nikki. Players begin with simple directional lighting and can unlock color lighting for subtle and not-so-subtle effects. Finally,the “Filter” tab places a filter over the digital “lens,“adding an overall color or tone to the image. Both lighting and filters also have sliders to adjust how intense the effect is.
