While Captain Marvel and others set off to handle the kaiju, Iron Man perfects his latest invention -a massive Ultraman mech designed to mimic Earth’s closest thing to a superhero. It hasn’t seen a fight just yet, but Iron Man will be testing the new mech’s mettle against Galactus soon enough.
Iron Man’s New Ultraman Mech Could Stop Galactus in His Tracks
Ultraman x Avengers#2 by Kyle Higgins, Mat Groom, Francesco Manna, Matt Milla, and Ariana Maher
Although the Avengers aren’t familiar with the exact version of Earth they’ve followed Galactus to, it’s full of people already accustomed to giant kaiju causing havoc. Ultraman, one of the Ultras, is the best “native” defense against Galactus and the Kaiju, and he’s the natural source of inspiration for Iron Man’s design. Both size and power are keyif the Avengers and the Ultra Guard have any hope of saving the planet, and (at least in appearance) Tony Stark has delivered. The mech is startlingly large, looming behind the Avengers as they lay their plans, andIron Man is already confidentin his design.
Spider-Man’s Own Iron Man Suit Actually Put His Iron Spider Armor To Shame
Spider-Fans have seen the Iron Spider suit before, on the screen and in the comics - but Spider-Man also wore a full Iron Man suit once too.
Until the mech makes it into battle against Galactus, it’s difficult to know what tricks Tony decided to employ. One of Ultraman’s strongest attacks is the “Spacium Beam”, andif the mech gets close to recreating that energy blast, it will make a difference. It’s likely to have flight capabilities, and the design does seem to have wrist-mounted weapons of some kind, along with whatever level of super strength its size may grant. Iron Man calls the mech a “work of art,” and while Tony can be boastful, he’s often capable of backing it up with results.

Iron Man Created His Ultraman Mech Technology Designed to Combat Kaiju
It May Be More Effective Against Galactus as a Result
Galactus venturing to Ultraman’s Earthmeant putting the Avengers in league with the Ultra Guard, all former members of the United Science Patrol, along with Ultraman himself. Their combined knowledge of Kaiju and the technology utilized to combat them doubtlessly gave Tony something new to play with, meaning he’s had his hands on more than what he initially arrived with. He’s always been one of the best at creating something from nothing, but that’s far from the case here.Iron Manhas resources and minds at his disposal that make his Ultraman mech a worthy weapon againstGalactus.
Ultraman x Avengers#2is available now from Marvel Comics.
