Dublin Murdersseason 2 is the long-awaited follow-up to the 2019 crime drama, but little has been said about what’s next for the series. Maddox and Reilly are put in charge of a gruesome murder case involving a young ballerina found ritualistically murdered in the woods. When more bodies start turning up, the detectives realize their case may be bigger than they could have imagined. At the moment,DublinMurdersseason 2 is not confirmed. Back when season 1 was ending, there was some talk about the show returning for season 2. In January 2020,Dublin Murderswrapped up its first season and Starz president and CEO, Jeffrey Hirsch said (viaDeadline),
“The audience grew from the beginning to the end of the series, which for us is always a great indicator of success. We’re currently in talks about more seasons. There’s a couple more books that we’re looking at right now, we’re trying to figure out what that looks like right now. We’ll hopefully continue to have good conversations.”

Around the same time,Dublin Murders' writer and showrunner Sarah Phelps said she was excited to get back to the series for season 2 (viaDigitalSpy),
“Yes, I do know where it could go. We’re talking about a second season. I’m going off to Galway really early tomorrow to start doing the research. So fingers crossed it comes off.”

It’s strange that both Starz and the showrunner were interested in returning to the series after season 1, and yet since early 2020, there has been no word aboutDublin Murdersseason 2.

“I would adore the chance to go back – but ask Sarah Phelps, it’s up to her!”
Beyond that, fans can only speculate on who would be likely to return. Based on the end of season 1,Dublin Murdersseason 2 could feature the aforementioned Killian Scott, Sarah Greene as Cassie Maddox, Michael D’Arcy as Adam Reilly, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor as Frank Mackey, and Moe Dunford as Sam O’Neill.
