Even after all these years, someStardew Valleyplayers still find themselves confused about the functionality and reasoning behind some of the buildings and items included in the cozy farming simulator.Stardew Valleyoffers players a chance to escape to their virtual farm and gives them control over how they want to play, such as focusing on relationships, ranching, farming, or anything else. Among the tools provided in the world is one building that, while it does have a use, many players don’t see the point in it.

Recently, Reddit userRobieWanposed the question of “What is the point of the bath”.The Bath House (also known as the Spa) inStardew Valleycan help players regain their energy, but it isn’t always convenient to get to, and it rarely seems to have other NPCs there.

Many people commented on the post, and while some shared frustration at the seemingly useless building, others pointed out that it can be quite handy when someone plans things out right. ThisStardew Valleyfeaturemay not be the first thing everyone thinks of, but the Bath House certainly can serve a valuable purpose for many.

The Bath House In Stardew Valley Has A Use For Creative Planners

Regenerative Properties At The Spa Can Be A Good Time Saver

Not only does the Spa serve as the backdrop for some of the NPCs interactions, such as Linus and Alex spending time there in the Winter, and one of Penny’s romantic cutscenes taking place in the Bath House, but its usefulness can be a time saver if players use a bit of planning. Several comments on RobieWan’s post, like the one below by Reddit userForceOfGulder, reference planting trees around the Bath House to then use it as an area to chop down trees andimmediately regain energy in the bath.

When the player character rests in the spa, energy and health are restored at 10 points per second. During Year 1, when the player character does not have much energy available, players have also found ituseful to water their cropsand then run to the bath to recharge their energy before doing other tasks.

Our Take: Everything Has Its Place In Stardew Valley

The Game Has Tools For Players To Use As They Wish

It’s easy to forget about the Spa, or feel so rushed by the amount of things that a player may want to do in a day that they don’t want to take the time to sit in the bath. However, this building’s restoring propertiescan be very useful for getting everything done without running out of energy. There is a reason other games, likeCoral Island, have copied the idea of adding a Bath House to their games, because when someone wants to take advantage of it the Spa can be a game changer.

Stardew Valley Player Gets A Little More Than They Bargained For With Free-Range Slimes

A Stardew Valley player got more than they bargained for when trying to start a Slime farming operation, learning an important lesson about the game.

The idea that many shared on the Reddit thread for making a tree farm surrounding the Bath House is a wonderful idea, especially with how much wood can be required for projects, and being able to immediately get back the energy spent would make things more fun and engaging. Now, if only I could have a Bath House energize me in real life the same way it does for my character inStardew Valley.
