Those looking to get the best protection and damage from their weapons and armor inKingdom Come: Deliverance 2will need to repair their gear frequently after intense battles. Armor and weapons in disrepair have lower stats, so they require constant attention to stay in"healthy"states. There are multiple ways to repair your gear, from relying on special vendors to implementing your skills.
you may check the status of weapons and armor through itsDurability, which you can see upon close inspection. While you could alwaysmake enough money inKC: Deliverance 2to just buy new weapons or armor, it is cost-effective to save the reliable gear you already use. Eventually, even the best gear you buy will need repairsto stay strong for future battles.

How To Repair Armor
Hire A Blacksmith Or Find The Right Tools
The easiest way to repair armor is tohire a Blacksmith NPCfound in one of the several settlements you visit. Theworld map ofKC: Deliverance 2is bound to have at least a few Blacksmiths who can fix up your armor, especially early in the game. The better your relationship with a Blacksmith, the cheaper it will be to get your armor repaired with them.
Some Blacksmiths you can talk to include Radovan in Tachov or Osina, who resides in Trosky Castle. When speaking to a Blacksmith, there should be an"About Repairs…“option in their dialogue, which takes you to a unique trading screen where you can offer money for repairs.

Another way to repair armor is touse an Armorer’s Kit, which you can buy from Blacksmiths or find as loot from chests or bandit camps. Using an Armorer’s Kit brings up a menu that showcases all your armor with Durability below their max.By selecting an armor through the Kit menu, you can repair it to full Durability instantlywithout any money cost.
How To Repair Weapons
Learn Ways To Sharpen Steel
Weapons are a little trickier to fix than armor, but you canalso go to a Blacksmith to get weapons repaired. Similar to armor, the instruments ofKC: Deliverance 2’s detailed combatcan be fixed by Blacksmiths who specialize in swords, maces, bows, etc. Weaponsmiths are willing to repair any weapon you give them for the right price.
One Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 System Might Finally Make Me Care About Punishment
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is full of interesting and immersive systems, but one in particular stands out as being truly game-changing to me.
However, for those not trying to spend money, you canfix weapons by using a Sharpening Wheel. These rolling whetstones can be found outside shops in most settlements and are completely free to use. While it takes a lot of time to repair a weapon through a Sharpening Wheel, finding one won’t take any time, as they usually are outside a Blacksmith’s shop in a town.

To successfully repair a weapon using a Sharpening Wheel, I followed these steps:
Be careful using a Sharpening Wheel, as it can destroy your weapon as easily as it repairs. If smoke rises from where you put your blade on the moving wheel, reposition it quickly to prevent it from losing even more Durability.

Those with certain Perks will receive a bonus for repairing their weapon through the Sharpening Wheel. For example, the"Razor Sharp"skill lets you gain a 10% slashing damage increase if you sharpen a weapon to 98% Durability or more. This lasts until the weapon falls below 75% Durability, which is when you should consider repairing it again.
Blacksmiths may also sell aBlacksmith’s Kit, which can be used to repair a weapon instantly. These work exactly the same as Armorer’s Kits, bringing up a list of your weapons with less than max Durability once used. From this menu, you can use the Kit to repair a weapon of your choice, but remember that any type of Kit cannot be used an infinite number of times.

How To Use Armorer’s Kits & Blacksmith Kits
Invest In Relationships And Be Aware Of Durability
Every Armorer’s Kit and Blacksmith’s Kit has its own Durabilitythat gets used up every time you activate it to repair a piece of armor. The less Durability an item has, the more Durability of the Armorer’s Kit is used up when repairing it. For example, a pair of gauntlets with only a few points of lower Durability will use up less of an Armorer’s Kit than a chest plate about to break entirely.
How To Level Every Skill & Stat Fast In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Your character has a variety of different skills in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, with every stat leveling up fast when you pursue specific activities.
As a general rule, it is best to use your Blacksmith and Armorer’s Kits on items that have either been significantly damaged or slightly in need of repairs. Anything that is in the middle ground won’t be too expensive to fix through paying a Blacksmith, especially one you’re familiar with.Don’t use Kits if it is cheaper to barter with a Blacksmithyou’ve established a good relationship with over time.

This extends to other Kits as well, including Cobbler’s Kits and Tailor’s Kits used to repair basic clothing. While you could repair your weapons and armor constantly through Kits, fixing your gear this way will use up valuable Kits fast inKingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
