Mass Effect’s yearly holiday, N7 Day, is coming up quickly, which starts to build excitement in the community about what hints about the next project could be revealed this time. If BioWare has any updates to give about the nextMass Effectgames, which has gotten some teases, such as the reveal that Liara will be involved in the game to an extent,it’s likely that the information will be released on N7 Day. At the very least, there’s generally some type of acknowledgment from BioWare on N7 Day, even if that’s limited to some art instead of updates.
AfterAndromeda’srough launch, BioWare is returning to the original trilogy by connectingMass Effect 4to more recognizable characters and locations. Contrary to previous beliefs,Mass Effect 4’stimeline placementcould be closer to the end of the previous trilogy instead of including a large timeline skip, which would be an easy way to use a new protagonist and have Shepard remembered as a legend. N7 Day is on November 7 each year, and it’s a celebration ofMass Effectbased on the N7 designation that Shepard holds in the Alliance Military’s special forces.Every year, the community comes together to celebrate the world ofMass Effectand all the parts of it that they love, whether that’s done through replaying the games, sharing art and other creations, or simply spreading love for a franchise that has a special place in their hearts. As a result, BioWare often makes a post aboutMEon N7 Day to at least acknowledge the community.
What To Expect From Mass Effect’s N7 Day 2024
There Won’t Be Groundbreaking Information
It’s unlikely that BioWare will reveal anything too bigthis year for N7 Day, such as a release window forMass Effect 4. However, another short teaser for the game could be a possible option, or some official artwork of places that’ll be included in-game. It could also be the case that BioWare doesn’t have a teaser forME4to release at the time, but it might have a collaboration or crossover event to reveal instead. Another possibility would be more side games,such asMass Effect: Priority Hagalaz, being revealed.

What We’re Hoping For From N7 Day 2024
The Unrealistic Expectations Of A Fan
My unrealistic N7 Day wishlist has a few big items that I don’t expect to see from BioWare this year, but I’d be pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong.The best reveal for N7 Day would be a release windowforMass Effect 4. A release date is probably not going to be revealed anytime soon, and while a window is slightly more likely, I still don’t expect to see one this year. The other big reveal that I’d love to see would be if there will be more characters returning from the original trilogy.
Liara’s return doesn’t help figure out a timeline placement forME4, as Asari can live for thousands of years.
Of course, I’d love to knowif Shepard will be returningin a meaningful way for the next game, which it seems could be the start of a new trilogy. The image of somebody wearing an N7 coat feels like a reference to Shepard, who’s the most iconic N7 in the series. When it comes to Shepard, however, I don’t expect that we’ll have information on their status until the next game is actually released, especially since keeping it as a mystery keeps up interest in the game.
Mass Effect 4 Needs To Abandon One Of The Series’ Defining RPG Elements
Although this mechanic has historically been part of many RPG games, the next title in the Mass Effect series can improve upon the past.
N7 Day is close, and it’s exciting to think of what BioWare could possibly reveal about the next game. However, it’s unlikely that a big reveal is coming this year, especially if BioWare isn’t rushing the development ofME4the same way thatAndromedawas rushed. In the end, N7 Day is at least a time for the community to come together and share everything they love aboutMass Effect, even without large teasers for new content.
