Mega Lopunny falls into the rare category of aNormal- and Fighting-type Pokémon. However, this does leave it with a number of weaknesses. It is weak against Fairy-, Fighting-, Flying-, and Psychic type attacks. All of these types will do double damage, greatly shortening the time it takes to defeat one. The damage boost from using Pokémon with this type of attack is a vital part of defeating Lopunny regardless of the number of players.
Any Pokémon with the same type and attack type move does additional damage.
In comparison, Bug-, Dark-, Rock-, and Ghost-type attacks all do less damage and should be avoided, as Lopunny is resistant to them. This is especially true of Ghost-type attacks, which are double resistant and will do next to no damage. Mega Lopunny will be available to face inPokémon GOfollowing the end ofthe Holiday Part 2 event inPokemon GOtaking place over the holidays.

If you use the right line-up it ispossible to defeat Mega Lopunny with two or three players, but a group of five will be able to comfortably defeat it, even without full type advantages. If you can successfully defeat it, Lopunny is then available to catch in its base form. Each time you defeat it, you also have the chance of finding it in its shiny form. Mega Lopunny’s return inPokémon GOcan be a challenge, but it can ultimately be defeated in small groups without trouble if you select the right Psychic counters to face it.
