AsPokémon TCG Pocketapproaches its one-month anniversary, the game is continuing to push out new events weekly. These events range from chances to collect rare cards to the opportunity to test a deck’s mettle against both human and computer opponents. What Are The Prizes For The Venusaur Drop Event In Pokémon TCG Pocket?
Playmats, Sleeves & More
Similar to theLapras ex eventearlier this month, the Venusaur Drop Event focuses on solo battles against four different difficulty levels of Grass-type decks. Each deck is built around Bulbasaur and its evolutions and comes with multiple missions to complete. Players get prizes for beating each deck for the first time, plus “Chance Rewards” that include a promo card pack, Shinedust, and a Shop Ticket.Similar to the Lapras ex event, the Venusaur Drop Event requires Event Stamina to battle decks.
Outside the promo cards, players can earn up to 41 Wonder Hourglasses by completing specific deck missions. Both the Venusaur ex Deck and Venusaur ex and Lilligant decks give out Wonder Hourglasses as rewards. The Venusaur ex Deck missions give out four Wonder Hourglasses as rewards, while the Venusaur ex and Lilligant missions give out five Wonder Hourglasses. Some of these missions require players to win in a certain number of turns, while other missions require a victory using certain kinds of deck builds.

Pokémon TCG Pocket: All Cards Available in the Venusaur Drop Event
The new Venusaur Drop event in Pokémon TCG Pocket has introduced five new visually eye-catching cards to collect.
Interestingly, several leaked flair itemswere not included in either the shop or as mission prizes. This suggests that the Venusaur-themed items will be next month’s Premium Pass rewards, with the rewards becoming available next weekend. Some of the flair items, including sleeves and playmats, can be seen when battling the Venusaur decks in the game. A Bulbasaur and Magnemite Wonder Pick event is also on the way and should kick off next week.

Our Take: Grass-Type Decks Offer Little Challenge
But They Are Still Iconic
I’m a fan of Bulbasaur and its evolutions, so I will always take any chance to collect more Venusaur cards and flair. However, while the Lapras ex event offered some challenge due to the inclusionof Starmie ex(a powerful card withinPokémon TCG Pocket), the new Venusaur ex decks offer no such difficulty.
Any Fire-type deck, even one that doesn’t include Charizard ex, can smoke through these decks in ease short of catastrophic draws. The promo cards will be enough to keep me coming back to this event over the weekend, but once I’ve collected all five, I have little reason to keep grinding for a handful of Wonder HourglassesPokémon TCG Pocket.
