A new Skeledirge card fromPokémon Trading Card Game’sSupercharged Breakerexpansion has been revealed, and it may make for a great combo with the best card in theStellar Crownexpansion.Supercharged Breakeris a new collection set to arrive exclusively in Japan in October, though it will then be fused with theParadise Dragonaexpansion for international release. With therelease ofPokémon TCG: Surging Sparksin early November, players and collectors will then have access to the localized versions of the cards from the Japanese sets.

Several of theSupercharged Breakercards have already been revealed as the expansion’s release date approaches. Cards like the new Tera Hydreigon ex stood out during their reveal due to their competitive power and, combined with cards from other sets, they can be crucial in winning matches. In fact, Hydreigon ex is only one of the manymust-have cards fromPokémon TCG: Supercharged Breakerexpansion, though more are bound to become important as the card list is revealed. Now, a new Skeledirge card has been showcased, and it may work well with a card fromStellar Crown.

New Skeledirge Card From Pokémon TCG: Supercharged Breaker Is Announced

The New Card Has An Ability Called Unaware

The new Skeledirge card forSupercharged Breakerwas officially announced, alongside its previous forms, Fuecoco and Crocalor. The three cards were posted and translated onPokébeach. Skeledirge is a Fire-type Pokémon with 180 HP, and it has an Ability called Unaware. With Unaware,it is invulnerable to all effects of attacks from the opponent’s Pokémon done to it. Despite its very helpful Ability, what makes the Skeledirge card stand out is its attack, Flare Recital, and how it can pair up with thebest card in thePokémon TCG: Stellar Crownexpansion.

As stated by the card, damage is not an effect, so it can be Knocked Out normally.

New Skeledirge Card Can Combo With Pokémon TCG: Stellar Crown’s Area Zero Underdepths

The Pokémon’s Attack Increases For Every Benched Pokémon In Play

Skeledirge’s Flare Recital costs a Fire-type Energy and a Colorless Energy to deal 60 base damage. However, the attack deals 20 more damage for each Benched Pokémon, considering both the player and their opponent. With a natural limit of five Benched Pokémon on either side, the new Skeledirge card could deal up to 260 damage for the mere cost of two Energy. However, when combined with the Area Zero Underdepths card fromPokémon TCG: Stellar Crown, that number can go up significantly.

The Trainer card known as Area Zero Underdepths is a Stadium that allows both players to have up to eight Pokémon on their Bench if at least one Tera Pokémon on either side is in play. If both players have at least one Tera Pokémon in play and the Bench is fullwith all 16 possible Benched Pokémon, the Skeledirge card from theSupercharged Breakerset can deal up to 380 damagein a single blow, for only two Energy. This is a great deal because this amount of damage is normally reserved for Pokémon ex cards inPokémon TCG.

Another good aspect of the Skeledirge card is that it is a regular Pokémon card and not a Pokémon ex card. As such, if it happens to be Knocked Out, the opponent will only claim one Prize card instead of two. Essentially, with the proper deck structure, Skeledirge could have the potential of a Pokémon ex card without the downside of its natural risks. Logically, to operate at peak performance, the opponent also has to have a large number of creatures on their Bench. Nevertheless, Skeledirge is one of the most impressivePokémon TCG: Supercharged Breakercards so far.
