Paramount Pictures has released an official trailer forSonic the Hedgehog 3, offering another dive into a tense showdown as the blue, speedy hedgehog Sonic and his friends come face-to-face with Shadow the Hedgehog. Directed by Jeff Fowler, the third installment sees the heroes reluctantly teaming up with Dr. Robotnik to stop Shadow’s destructive quest for justice, with the adventure spanning Tokyo, London, and even space. Now,Paramount Pictureshas dropped the latestSonic the Hedgehog 3trailer, featuring thrilling action sequences, Shadow’s dark origin, and a glimpse at the space-bound adventure awaiting fans. The trailer begins by teasingShadow working together with Gerald Robotnik, who manages to recruit Dr. Robotnikonto his side on their quest for revenge. After narrowly escaping a trap from the trio, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles recruit Tom and Maddie to help infiltrate a GUN base.
A giant, circular object is then seen floating up into the sky from a river in London, implied to be the movie version of Space Colony ARK. Shadow can be seen powering the massive space station, which shoots a giant laser at the moon, cutting it in half. Shots of Shadow with Maria are also shown, emphasizing why he’s seeking vengeance against the world.He’s also seen holding a gun and riding a motorcycleas he does battle with Sonic.
