Our Take On The New Games In Squid Game Season 2

Season 2 Will Have To Move Beyond Season 1’s Structure

WhileSquid Gameseason 1’s gameswere evidently a major part of the show’s succes, season 2 could end up feeling repetitive if it follows the same structure as season 1, with Gi-hun winning one game after another. Gi-hun’s mission to disrupt and end the Game, however, should keep season 2 feeling fresh.

In addition to competing, Gi-hun will now be looking for ways in which to infiltrate and take down the mysterious organization responsible for the Game, and the most obvious way to do this would seem to be organizing his fellow contestants to rebel against the pink jumpsuit-wearing guards. It remains to be seen what games will feature inSquid Gameseason 2, but audiences certainly look to be in for an exciting and perilous continuation of Gi-hun’s story.
