After 8 years, theStar Warsfranchise fixed an error made to the iconic X-wing inStar Wars: Skeleton Crew. X-wings, along with theMillennium Falconand standardImperial TIE Fighters, are among the most recognizable and beloved spacecraft in theStar Warsfranchise, with Luke Skywalker famously flying one in the Battle of Yavin and using it to destroy the Death Star. The classic T-65 X-wing is so iconic that the modern canon’s sequel era introduced new models like the T-70 and T-85 X-wings.
The original trilogy-era T-65 X-wing is a multirole craft, capable of battling the Empire’s deadliest TIE craft, strafing ground targets, and striking at large naval vessels likeStar Destroyers. Crewed by a humanoid pilot and astromech droid navigator (and provider of in-flight maintenance), the X-wing is a versatile and long-range craft, equipped with a hyperdrive for independent travel across the galaxy. While the X-wing’s profile is unmistakable, there has been consistent issue with its depiction since 2016.

The initial problem with the X-wing s-foils was certainly subtle, and its resolution inStar Wars: Skeleton Crewis, fittingly, another blink-and-you-miss-it detail.
