Peaky Blinderscreator Steven Knight has teased the future of the franchise as its upcoming movie brings the series' “first chapter” to a close. TheupcomingPeaky Blindersmovie, titledThe Immortal Man, will see Cillian Murphy return as Tommy Shelby, bringing an end to his story from the original series. The film wrapped production on July 09, 2025, and will be distributed through Netflix, although an exact release window has yet to be revealed. The franchise is also set to expand with both a spinoff and a prequel thanks to the original’s success.

Speaking onThe Playlist’sBingeworthypodcast (viaEntertainment Weekly),Knight promised thePeaky Blindersmovie would be the end of the show’s “first chapter,“with plenty of plans in place for the future.
