Talia’s new Lazarus Waters have the potential to be far more powerful than the Pits ever were.

The Lazarus Pits have long been a part ofBatmanlore. Ra’s al Ghul most often uses them, but other people have used them as well. Batman famously used a Lazarus pit, along with a few other ingredients, to reviveDamian Wayne after his death, and Talia al Ghul infamously used a Lazarus Pit to bring Jason fully back to life. Still, these Pits always had major drawbacks, such as temporarily driving someone insane after they first exit the Pit. Another major drawback was the Lazarus Pit was mostly unable to revive people if they’d been dead for too long.

The Lazarus Pits were all destroyed during the events ofLazarus Planet, and since then, it seems to just be accepted that death is a permanent part of the DC Universe now. This has entirely changed though, as Talia has seemingly perfected the Lazarus Waters, or at least gotten close to it. With Talia’s new technology, she’s perfectly capable of reviving people, even if they’ve been dead for long periods. Arzen was dead for several days at least, and she brought him back with ease. Talia’s new Lazarus Waters have the potential to be far more powerful than the Pits ever were.

Talia’s evolution of her father’s Lazarus technology is a radical development for the DC Universe, and it could be here to stay.

Talia’s evolution of her father’s Lazarus technology is a radical development for the DC Universe, and it could be here to stay. Talia’s new Lazarus Waters aren’t in any danger of being destroyed, unlike the Lazarus Pits. It seems that the madness that’s usually inflicted when someone returns is also lessened, as Arzen was only mad for a few seconds, unlike the several minutes that Ra’s often went through. Now the next time someone close toBatmandies, which is undeniably going to happen,he might just have a solution for it with Talia al Ghul’s brand-new Lazarus Waters.
