The Netflix action show premiered in 2023, following FBI agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) as his Night Action job manning a mysterious White House phone plunges him into a world of political intrigue.The Night Agentseason 2was renewed less than a week after season 1 premiered, and season 3 was renewed in October. It has also been revealed that the show would take on an approach similar to Prime Video’sReacher, still following Basso’s Peter but with many season 1 supporting players not set to return.

While it only lasts a brief 30 seconds, it packs in a variety of high-octane action moments featuring the return of Peter, who has seemingly become embroiled in a new adventure with an even more dangerous enemy. Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent is a sophisticated, character-based, action-thriller centering on a low level FBI Agent, Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), whose efforts to save The President in Season 1 earn him an opportunity to become a Night Agent in Season 2.
