There’s every chance we’ll see the heroes ofStar Wars Rebelsin live-action inAndorseason 2. BothAndorandStar Wars Rebelschronicle the early days of the Rebellion, though admittedly from entirely different perspectives. Whereasthe members of the Ghost Crew, a lone Rebel cell operating from Lothal, were (initially) involved in smaller, less violent ways of stealing from the Empire before joining the wider Rebel Alliance,Andordives deeper into the sacrifice necessary to fight against oppression on a personal and moral level.

Both perspectives are inherently valid and add to our understanding of the Rebellion. Despite sharing the same general timeline – and minor characters like Saw Gerrera – the likelihood of Cassian meeting the Ghost Crew inAndorseason 1 was small. However, the promotion surrounding the upcoming season, including theAndorseason 2 trailerand othersoon-to-be-released merchandise, has made the possibility of Cassian Andor meeting the Ghost Crew all the more likely, especially following their live-action introductions inThe MandalorianandAhsoka.

Andor Season 2 Will See Cassian Infiltrate Sienar Advanced Projects Laboratory

In an odd turn of events, one recently revealed action figure has provided a massive clue as to what to expect inAndorseason 2. Produced by Hasbro, this Black Series Cassian Andor figure is called“Cassian Andor (Sienar Test Pilot)”and shows Cassian wearing an Imperial pilot’s uniform. Presumably, this meansCassian will go undercover in the Sienar Advanced Projects Laboratory, which, inStar WarsLegends and canon, is known for producing highly advanced TIE Fighters.

Andor Season 2: Trailer, Story, Updates, & Everything We Know

Andor season 1 ended with an explosive finale, leading many to wonder what season 2 has in store for the characters of Star Wars’ most exciting show.

This includesthe TIE Avenger, a glimpse of which can be seen in theAndorseason 2 trailer. The TIE Avenger functions similarly to Darth Vader’s personal TIE fighter in that it can traverse through hyperspace and is equipped with shields, making it a formidable opponent in any space battle and much harder to defeat than the Empire’s lesser TIEs. Interestingly,Cassian Andor isn’t the only Rebel we know to have encountered a souped-up TIE Fighter.

In Canon, Sienar Advanced Projects Laboratory Is Based… On Lothal

InStar Wars Rebelsseason 4, “Flight of the Defender,” the Ghost Crew discover the Empire has commissioned a design for a new, more dangerous TIE Fighter – the prototype was built and housed at an Imperial factory based on Lothal. This prototype was presumably built by the Sienar Advanced Projects Laboratory, which is the same lab that Cassian Andor has now been confirmed to be infiltrating inAndorseason 2. Coincidence? We already know that Sienar has a presence on Lothal, as that was confirmed inRebels.

Though Sienar has more than one factory, Cassian might very well infiltrate Sienar’s Lothal operations and hijack their prototype TIE Avenger. SinceAndorseason 2’s three-episode blockstake place concurrently with the last few seasons ofStar Wars Rebels, the timing lines up perfectly. Narratively speaking, it would make sense for these Rebellion stories to come together at least once.

Could We See Star Wars Rebels In Andor Season 2?

If Cassian does end up on Lothal, there’s a strong possibility that he will run into the Rebels of the Ghost Crew. Of course, there’s no reason to believe thatStar Wars Rebelsshowed audiences every single adventure the Ghost Crew ever had while fighting for Lothal – why couldn’t there be another one that includes Cassian Andor?Plenty of other prominentStar Warscharacters have come into contact with the Ghost Crew, including characters fromAndor. Mon Mothma and Saw Gerrera certainly come to mind.

Most ofStar Wars Rebels’ major characters have already jumped to live-action. Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios was introduced inThe Mandalorianseason 3, while the Mandalorian Sabine Wren, Rebel general Hera Syndulla, and the Jedi Ezra Bridger were all introduced inAhsokaseason 1. The first steps have already been taken by the franchise.

It’s a mission that’s right up the Ghost Crew’s alley, and if Cassian is to survive until the Battle of Scarif inRogue One: A Star Wars Story,he’ll need all the help he can get inAndorseason 2.

Age-wise, the most logical characters for Cassian to meet would be Hera, Zeb, or Sabine, as their appearance wouldn’t have changed as drastically as Ezra’s before he went missing in theStar Wars Rebelsseries finale. However, it’s certainly possible they’ll use a different actor to portray a younger Ezra, the way they did with Ahsoka Tano inAhsoka. After all, nobody knows Lothal better than Ezra Bridger – it’s his homeworld.

Perhaps Cassian will be instructed to liaise with the Ghost Crew or Hera Syndullaalone to infiltrate the factory. Maybe they’ll help him steal the TIE Avenger, just as Sabine and Ezra stole Grand Admiral Thrawn’s TIE prototype inStar Wars Rebelsseason 4. It’s a mission that’s right up their alley, after all, and if Cassian is to survive until the Battle of Scarif inRogue One: A Star Wars Story–Andor’s second outing will lead up to the events ofStar Wars’first anthology film – he’ll need all the help he can get inAndorseason 2.
