Keanu Reeves as Neo in The Matrix.

It was a long time ago that I watched [The Matrix] with them. I think they were pretty shocked. My kids really didn’t watch any TV growing up when they were little. And so when I think they were 12 or 13, they had a few friends over and made popcorn, they’re like, ‘We’re gonna watch my mom’s movie!’ And, you know, their friends are there, they’ve all known me since they were babies.

It was quite fun. When you show your kids a part of you that they have no idea about. I mean, kids don’t really think about their parents that much as they’re growing up. They’re the center of the universe for them. So, to kind of be like, ‘Oh, wow.’ I think it was pretty special. It was pretty fun to show that.
