If you are looking for some answers on today’sConnectionspuzzle, you can spoon some up from these hints and tricks. This puzzle felt a little easier to me than yesterday’s,but that was because I was also more familiar with all of these categories. Whereas yesterday I only just slipped in for the win, today I was much more confident. However, that is due to my own experience, not because of my puzzle skills which were proven lacking the last two days. Now, I can give you clues that will help you feel as confident as I did.
If you are looking for a fun puzzle that doesn’t take too long, you should try out theNYT’sMini Crosswordpuzzle. Depending on the difficulty,it usually takes me just a couple of minutes to solveand is a nice filler when I’m in between tasks. It feels more productive than other things I could be doing, like staring at the wall, and it is not as time-consuming as the other version of the crossword puzzle. It’s a great little puzzle, and one that you should try out if you miss the one in the daily newspaper.

Today’s Connections Category Hints
FEBRUARY 09 #609
If you need more clues for today’s puzzle, you are in the right place. There is not a lot of crossover in this one, and for the most part, the words do feel like they should go together. There are a couple words that could make you question where they belong, but if your instinct is pointing you in a particular direction with this one, you should go for it.

If you still need a few nudges, there are plenty waiting for you up aheadin the box below and in the spoilers later.

MONSTER
SUPER
This category is about size, and it was the second category I solved today. I think MONSTER is one of the words that may potentially trick you, particularly if you haven’t solved the last category yet. However,it was the only other word that had anything to do with size, so I was able to solve it pretty quickly without overthinking it. However, based on some of the nonsense I have gotten caught up on, I could imagine this catching me on a less vigilant day.
POT
SPOON
This category was the last category I solved and I never really looked at these words beyond to verify they shouldn’t be somewhere else. BOWL could go with SUPER and PARTY, but there is not a third word that could be particularly thematic for today. It’s a good way to attempt to trick players today, but hopefully, you’re able to avoid it.Sometimes the super obvious answer is the right one, but look around to see if there are other options first. That typically makes all the difference when you are attempting to finish these puzzles off.
10 Best Connections Tips, Tricks, & Strategies
Four categories with four words each sounds simple, but the daily challenge of the Connections game can prove difficult without a few tips to help.
PARTY
PERSON
This one also felt pretty straightforward, but that might not have been the case if I had solved a different category first. That is mainly down to AVATAR and PARTY, as the former can mean the same thing as the rest of the words in the category, and the latter doesn’t fit in at first glance. It can mean another general person or being, but it is not the primary definition of the word and this could easily trick you. ALIEN or Monster could both even go here in some instances, but it was not the case in today’s puzzle.
DUNE
TRON
This last one is actually the one I got first.I was expecting it to be the blue category, as the movie/film-related categories usually are. However, this time that was not the case and it did surprise me. I do blame my dad for watching all of these movies and for making me a fan of sci-fi in general, but I suppose that also means he gets the credit for me solving the puzzle today.
