It felt a little easier, but I think that was due to the category choices today, which didn’t feel as hard to me personally as yesterday or the day before. However, because I felt like I understood this one, I can give you some great hints to help you get through it too.

Today’s Connections Category Hints
FEBRUARY 26 #626
This puzzle doesn’t have a lot of crossover, at least not that I saw right away. It was more about finding enough dots to connect than it was about separating ones that had too many words to fit out. It might take a little bit of time, but nothing too crazy in today’s puzzle. Although we have another big long category name, it still doesn’t quite get to the point the one wrapped around the world did the other day. Here are some clues to get you started:
10 Strands Strategies To Quickly Solve The Theme
Strands is one of New York Times' many puzzle games that consists of a unique 6x8 word search that requires players to use zig-zag solutions.
If you still need some pointers on this puzzle, I have everything you need in the boxes below.First come the category names, and second come the spoilers.

PRICE
RATE
This was the second category I figured out today, and it felt pretty good. There weren’t really any other money terms, so I didn’t get too confused. However, it did take me a few minutes to build up the category and pick all the right words to go in it. CHARGE actually is the word I wasn’t super sure about, mainly because that feels more like an active word than a passive price. It was the only thing I felt I could do and luckily it was right.
PAST
PRIOR
I felt really good about this category, and then I saw how they formatted the category name and I didn’t like it as much.Google says it can be either one word or hyphenated, but I don’t like it either way. I feel like you should either say “past” or “once” or go full-on with the entire fairy tale treatment. It’s not necessary, but I feel like “onetime” just doesn’t feel right. Google says it’s right, but I will not be using it anytime soon.

The Spelling Bee puzzles created as a New York Times game build a streak of correct answers to get you more points, but they can be hard to keep.
MINUS
UNDERSCORE
This was the first category I got today, and that might be a little strange. However, this one felt very straightforward to me, as soon as I saw MINUS and UNDERSCORE. It took me a moment to find the other two,but I thought it wouldn’t be this far down the category ranks. I can see now that the other two are probably a little easier, since these do not actually mean the same thing. But I was happy to get this one early anyway.
COMER
PISA
I knew something was a little weird with these words, but I don’t think I would have guessed their exact connection. I am okay at getting ones that have something hidden in them, but the categories with words that are purposely misspelled are a lot harder for me. I would have had a lot more trouble with this one if any of the previous categories had been even the tiniest bit harder for me to finish.
