Trackerseason 2 introduced an intriguing new character who would make a great complement to the team, and it would be great to see her return in a recurring role. TheTrackercast of charactershas already experienced some shakeups in season 2, with season 1 regular Teddi Bruin (Robin Weigert) departing, both in the show and in real life. That’s left the remaining characters to pick up the slack in her absence, a challenging feat considering how some questionableTrackerseason 2 decisions have made it hard to care.

Even so,the show has always been good at introducing recurring charactersand adding interesting cameos that make audiences want to know more about those characters. It’s been one ofTracker’s strengths from the start. In the most recent episode and midseason winter finale,Trackerseason 2, episode 8, the show introduces another of these new characters who leave a mark.

Barbie Lee and Colter Shaw in Tracker

Barbie Would Make The Perfect New Tracker Team Consultant

Her Skills Are Complementary

Trackerseason 2, episode 8, “The Night Movers"introduces a new character, Barbie Lee (Freda Foh Shen), a forger and fixer who helps people disappear. From the moment she appears on the screen, Barbie stands out. She’s fearless, one of the few people to get the jump on Colter. She’s also impressively efficient and ruthless, not only carrying through on her promise to her late husband that she’d burn their life to the ground, but also vowing to track down and kill those who had murdered him. Barbie is arguably one of the most formidable one-off characters introduced inTrackeryet, and it would be a shame not to see her again.

9 Biggest Questions After Tracker Season 2, Episode 8 That It Needs To Answer

When Tracker season 2 returns from its fall break in 2025, it must answer pivotal questions about Colter Shaw and his team following its fall finale.

Beyond how interesting she is as a character, it would be great to see her in one of the show’s many recurring character roles simply because of what she could bring to the team. As Colter explains to Barbie, he’s a tracker and she’s a “disappearer,“making them two sides of the same coin.Barbie’s expertise on how and why people disappear would offer invaluable insight to Colter in his missing person cases, not to mention give him a new circle of contacts to potentially ally with on future cases. In any case, Barbie is a great resource to have.

Tracker Season 2 Has Introduced A Few New Allies For Colter

Keaton Is A Particular Standout

If Barbie does reappear, it would continueTracker’s history of introducing seeming one-off characters only for them to become recurring ones. Season 1 introducedfellow rewardist and tracker Billie Matalon(Sofia Pernas), who has teamed up with Colter a few times since.Trackerseason 2 really picked it up, though, with a couple of characters appearing in multiple episodes.Camille Picket (Floriana Lima) is an ex and is tied to the case that still haunts Colter, whilenewTrackerfan favorite, retired cop Keaton (Brent Sexton)pops back up with information on that case.

Barbie seems like more of a lone wolf than a team player, which makes sense given the nature of her work.

Tracker 2024 TV Series Poster

In Barbie’s case, she would likely fit into Colter’s world in a way similar to Billie, with them crossing paths every so often, or he could call her in a future episode when he needs her expertise. It would be fun to see the character in the series more often than that, but Barbie seems like more of a lone wolf than a team player, which makes sense given the nature of her work. Still, her character was too memorable, and her skills too complementary to Colter’s, for her to be a one-off character. If theTrackerwriters are smart, they’ve already figured out a future episode for Barbie to resurface.
