Jinx (Ella Purnell) got a new child companion inArcaneseason 2, but the kid’s origins and identity are still very mysterious. The long-awaited second season ofArcanedelivered just as many surprises as theending ofArcaneseason 1did, and one of the more unusual was a new companion for Jinx. Almost all thecharacters inArcanehate or tolerate Jinx, but her new friend seems to be the only person who actually likes her afterwhat happened to Silco inArcane. Such a unique character is sure to be important for the final two acts ofArcane, so it’s important to get to know them.
Even thoughArcaneis setting the kid up to be a major part of Jinx’s story, it also introduced a slew of other new characters. From the new enforcers who joined Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Caitlin’s (Katie Leung) strike team to the new threats from the Black Rose organization,Arcaneis getting bigger by the minute. With so many moving pieces, however, there hasn’t been a lot of time to meet the new characters, and they’ve remained mostly mysterious. None of them are as mysterious as the kid, though, butArcanedid reveal a bit about them.

Jinx Saved The Kid - Isha - From Chross, One Of The Chem Barons
InArcaneseason 2, episode 2, Jinx saved a child (identified as Isha in the credits) who was being pursued by Chross' men during the power struggle between the chem barons. Isha fell from a pipe while fleeing, landed on Jinx’s head, and she shot their attackers.Afterwards, the kid began following Jinx around and intervened to save Jinx in both Smeech’s attack and Jinx’s ambush that she set up for Vi and Caitlin inArcaneseason 2, episode 3. Not much else is known about Isha besides the fact they wear a mining helmet and goggles, and they are fiercely loyal to Jinx.

Isha May Be A Disguised Ziggs, Ajuna Lem, Or An Entirely New Character
There are two existingLeague of Legendscharacters who Isha could potentially be. They could be Ziggs, a yordle like Heimerdinger. Ziggs befriended Jinx after leaving his spot in Piltover’s academy. InLeague of Legendslore, yordles sometimes used glamour, a substance that let them appear to be short humans. That would explain why Ziggs would appear to be a human child, but glamour was recently decanonized.Alternatively, they may be Ajuna Lem, the child on the Sumpsnipe Scavenger card inLegends of Runeterra. Ajuna was Ekko’s friend, though, not Jinx’s, and he died in a canon comic, so neither option seems perfect.

It therefore seems more likely that Isha is a new character created forArcaneseason 2. The kid will likely be used to add even more depth to Jinx’s story and potentially even let her become a mother figure, just as Silco became a father figure to her. Isha could also be used to make Jinx less villainous and give her even more moral complexity as she protects and cares for them. Even though they remain a mystery, Isha seems to be an exciting addition toArcaneseason 2.
