This hilariousStar Warsfan video reveals that many of the franchise’s movies have completely the wrong name.Star Warsmovies and TV showshave some interesting naming conventions, including most recently with live-actionStar Warsshows frequently using just one character’s name (such asAndor,Obi-Wan Kenobi, andAhsoka). Since the earliest installments intheStar Warstimeline, many ofStar Wars’movie titles have seemed like great fits. This viral video calls that into question, however—and it’s more than a little convincing.

The fan video, posted byVHSDVDBLURAY4Kon X, reveals thatswapping out each of the Skywalker Saga’s movie titles would mean theStar Warsmovies make significantly more sense. In the video, the speaker goes through each of the Skywalker Saga movies, revealing another title in the saga that would work much better.

What This Viral Video Means For Star Wars

Although It’s Humorous, This Video Has Some Good Points

Many of the arguments used in the video make perfect sense. For example, the notion thatStar Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menacewould instead be namedStar Wars: The Rise of Skywalkerdoes indeed feel like a much better fit, as that is whereAnakin Skywalker’sStar Warstimelinebegins (at least chronologically). Likewise, bothStar Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the SithandReturn of the Jedi’snew names do seem to better capture when these events take place inStar Wars.

There are some changes in the video that make a little less sense, though, such asStar Wars: The Last Jedibecoming the new title forReturn of the Jedi. Given how many Jedi have since been confirmed during this era, such as Ahsoka Tano and Cal Kestis, this title would be just as questionable as it currently is in the sequels. Nevertheless, most of these title changes are quite convincing.

Our Take On Star Wars' Movie Titles

Some Skywalker Saga Titles Do Seem Incorrect

In truth,I’ve always had a bit of an issue with some ofStar Wars’movie titles, particularly in the sequel trilogy. As one key example,The Rise of Skywalkerseemed like an intentional deception, causing many to believe that Kylo Ren/Ben Solo, as the last of the Skywalker bloodline, would have a major arc and change for the better. While Ben was redeemed, he also died at the end of the movie, and it wasn’t him who was the titular Skywalker—it was Rey.

The Last Jedi, too, is a bit off as a name, given it’s clear Rey wasn’t really the last Jedi at all, nor was Luke. The fan video also makes incredibly valid points, and it’s simply a delightful watch. It seems this viral video may truly be on to something when it comes to the name ofStar Wars’Skywalker Saga movie titles.
