While he didn’t start as the main character ofThe Big Bang Theory,Jim Parson’s Sheldon came to be centered in the series. Then, of course,Young Sheldoncentered around Iain Armitage’s Sheldon character, too. The scope ofYoung Sheldonexpanded to be about the whole family later on. Still, the youthful portrayal of the Sheldon character anchored theYoung Sheldonseries.
TheGeorgie & Mandy’s First Marriageseries premieres on CBS on October 17.
While Sheldon could still turn up inGeorgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,the series is in no way centered on his character, and it would be a distraction to include him regularly. Instead, theYoung Sheldonspinoff will hone in on Sheldon’s elder brother, Georgie Cooper.Young Sheldon’s Montana Jordan will reprise his role as the character, and his wife will join him in the series, Emily Osment’s Mandy McAllister. While there areYoung Sheldon characters returning inGeorgie & Mandy,Sheldon isn’t confirmed as one, meaning theYoung Sheldoncontinuation will effectively move on from the character.
