The full list of games included in theYu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collectionhas been leaked online ahead of the game’s release in February 2025. This is a collection of classicYu-Gi-Ohvideo games, most of them for the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance. However, no fewer than 17 different games came out for the franchise during that era. In what was trulya golden age forYu-Gi-Oh, fans were spoiled for choice when it came to handheld trading card games.
And they may be so again, asthe full list of 14 games included in theYu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collectionhas supposedly been leaked, recounted in the post on X (formerly Twitter) byStealthbelow. Rumor holds the leak comes from the box art for the Taiwanese release of the game, which was apparently posted online earlier this week. Spanning all three major consoles in the Game Boy line and the years between 1998 and 2004, it’s an expansive anthology ofYu-Gi-Oh’s greatest handheld hits.

Of these 14 games, only eight were previously announced officially: everything butThe Sacred Cards,Reshef of Destruction,The Eternal Duelist Soul, theDuel Monstersseries, and theDark Duel Storiesduology is a surprise. Most of the newly announced titles combine traditional card-based dueling with new, unique mechanics, like the board game structure ofDungeon Dice MonstersandDestiny Board Traveler, or the RPG gameplay ofSacred CardsandReshef. Still, players have had a mixed reaction to this collection, based on the games it includes and those it doesn’t.

But other players, like@ZeldaHarkinianon X (formerly Twitter), pointed out thatthe collection was missing some of theirfavorite forgottenYu-Gi-Ohtitles. A widely acknowledged omission isThe Duelists of the Roses, a 2001 entry in which players dueled their way around chess-inspired game boards with terrain-specific rules and a plot loosely inspired by the real-life Wars of the Roses.

Still, it’s pretty clear that theEarly Days Collectionhas a theme -it’s about reviving and celebrating those classicYu-Gi-Ohhandheld games, nothing more.Duelistswas one of many titles in the franchise originally released for the PlayStation 2. At the same time, though, this may be something of a proof of concept forYu-Gi-Ohpublisher Konami, with eyes on further remastered titles and collections in the future. There’s still plenty of time for things likeDuelists, even if it’s not in theYu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection.
